I am friends with a GP and NHS consultant and my wife is related to a very senior NHS consultant. All three have commented this past 6-7 years that the NHS is uncontrollable and will "collapse under its own weight" one day. Oddly, none of the three say that more money is the solution, rather less ADMINISTRATORS. Blair set up NHS TRUSTS (which sounds harmless) which were designed to compete with each other. It has failed. Of course, the Wide Open Borders that we have 'enjoyed' this past 20 years has helped with the demise. It's little known that many of the Muslim Children that are coming to the UK have mental / physical problems.....something to do with marrying your cousin.....but keep that quiet - don't want to be accused of a Hate Crime in Starmer's authoritarian Britain.

Ex judge starmer doesn't know right from wrong. He has serious personality problems and will do anything to get ahead with his masters' 2030 agenda. Taking money from pensioners with triumph while keeping his own allowances, then only one day later sending 106 million to the clown overseas. A child of two has more moral compass.

From my experience (of 70 years) about 20 years ago there was some effort put in to preventative measures (well-man clinics, blood tests, urinr tests ECGs etc.) but this has completely disapeared and I see nothing. I also see no doctors face to face, but often "can you send me a photograph of the rash, ulcer, infected eye...." and too often it's an itinerant witchdoctor who I have never ever seen before. Take me back to the 60s, at least for the personnel.

What went wrong with the NHS is that we strayed from the original working formula. Nothing to do with overcrowding blah . It is the disciplined and tight organization that has gone wrong. Train UK nurses and bring back matron who was worth 100 managers. Make cleanliness next to godliness again. Hospitals used to smell clean and there were enough nurses to even change the water in flower vases. Too much of the staff's time is taken up by computers and they still don't know about the patients they are looking after. This started during Thatcher's time. I know this because of a relative who needed regular treatment during the 80s. They have told me how the nurses at that time were getting very worried about the changes. They were right to be.
