I know that I am a bit late but when it comes to Dayeon, I genuinely feel bad for her. This is like the case of “Mia and Everglow” (at least the way I see it). However, I think the difference with Mia and Dayeon is that Mia had the main vocal position so it wasn’t surprising that she can get majority of the lines. On the other hand, Dayeon is considered to be the main rapper which while a “main” position, does not necessarily guarantee so many lines in a song and/or spotlight (not unless they are hip-hop based group, i.e. bts during their early years, block b, monsta x during their early years, and ikon). As such, for Dayeon to have gotten so many screen-time and lines made people confused because it was very unusual, not to mention that any Mnet survival groups tend to focus on the center/the final no. 1 contestant on the said show. I honestly think what makes Dayeon situation worse is that she was established as the “rigged” on Kep1er’s line-up by so many of the Gp999 fans because of her sudden large amount of screen-time (which imo is only partially true as i feel that mnet genuinely sees potential in her and that she could be considered as the “ace” of the group… which she is). All in all, I feel bad that Dayeon is hated for something that is out of her control. I do hope that she does not lose confidence considering that a lot of stand and non-stans of the group continues to find her the villain for allegedly taking over the group’s spotlight. I also wish that she just continued to prove to the people hating on her why she continues to shine… i mean she has a great vocals, she is an amazing dancer, and she has a great personality.

i think this is a sign that stans need to calibrate themselves to the real world.. it's disappointing that they treat someone who has barely (if any) control with their position in a group (or job period). the ignorance jumps through the screen from these stans fr.. i don't even have much info on the entire situation-stans just do too much.

actually the very first gp999 rankings (among kgroup, jgroup and cgroup) were actually based on the evaluation of judges! so hikaru, xiaoting and dayeon all became nr.1 because the judges considered them each to be the best in their respective groups! it was not fan voted :)

I don't even hate her I just wish wakeone would give her rap lines and vocals go to the vocalist that only sing and on the last part of the video don't say there not on her level when the company won't give another member time to shine to show us what they got so nah cheif disagree on that.

that’s simply not true lmao skills can be measured objectively and that’s not a secret, dayeon is objectively an all-rounded and more skilled than the rest of the members. it doesn’t make the others unskilled, they’re just not as good as her.

Exactly, even kep1er members recognize it and call them the aces of the group and that’s why they get most dance breaks and vocal lines than others, it’s nor hard to understand

Dayeon stans never fail to impress me. You made a video essay about how mistreated and misunderstood she is. She is neither an amazing vocalist nor an outstanding dancer, yet gets all the lines and screen time to herself, while the other 8 members get almost nothing. How is she being neglected when she gets at least 40 seconds in every Kep1er song (I can't remember 1 song in which she was 2nd or below, she is always 1st in line distributios), while members like Bahiyyih and Mashiro only get adlibs or 5 seconds of singing verses at most? Youngeun is literally the ace of Kep1er, way better than Dayeon at all ares, yet only gets to sing 1 line per song. How is this fair? If she was the most talented member of the group, we would understand that embarrassing special treatment, but this isn't the case her. This is all thanks to nepotism and her company's (Jellyfish) good relationship with Mnet and Wakeone who pay them to push her. The same happened to Gunwook from Boys Planet, since he is also from Jellyfish. He had never ranked inside the top 9 in any episode, and in last one his ranking suddenly climbed to 5th place. He is another nepo baby just like Dayeon.

At first i disliked Dayeon because she was so rigged , but she is actually a good performer. Aside from her ethereal visuals and popularity , i don't see anything else notable about Bahiyyih I feel bad for Yujin and Yaning, Mnet just used them for views 😭 Yujin has the capability to go solo Kep1ians are problematic af , but not as much as MNET 😆 and GP999
