People with real money don’t much squawk over reliability. It’s nice to have, but if you want true performance, and have the money 💰. You go with the Germans.
@jlo87755 жыл бұрын
@-Can Ameri- Meh, I’m unimpressed with the Germans. They are merely status symbols. You can troll them all day in a Tesla P100D, and you can out class them in a Lexus. Shit even the Caddy CTS-V does it better at just over $100K
@saxopio62805 жыл бұрын
JLo - 😂😂😂. “YOU” might not be impressed with German cars but most people in the developed world with a true sense of luxury are. BTW, the only vehicles that sell well for Lexus these days are its FWD-based RX, NX and its Toyota Avalon-based ES, none of which can compete with the Germans. And unlike Audi’s FWD biased lineup, you can’t even get the ES in AWD for Christ sake! Lexus also stopped offering a performance and cabriolet variant for the IS and only offered the LFA for a limited time. 🤦🏼♂️ Speaking of Tesla, looks like Lexus (along with the other Japanese “luxury” brands) will be last to market for pure EVs. Lexus was also late to offer Android Auto / Apple CarPlay. God knows they need it because Lexus infotainment system is STILL garbage, which is a shame for a luxury brand in 2019. But I guess you do still have bulletproof reliability going for you. So there’s that, but then, so does a regular Toyota or a modern-day Porsche. Why not just buy a Avalon/Camry TRD, or Landcruiser , save some dinero, and call it a day?

The problem with the RC is the weight. It was designed to later be sold as a convertible, so the frame was strengthened. Coming from an owner of an RCF, the car kicks in hard at higher gears than lower gears. Ngl the 350 is completely trash in terms of performance, but comfort, reliability, and second hand market prices? @@RaitisRides Joe can you do a video on the confirmed Mazda inline six and hybrid engines planned for the new rear drive Mazda platforms in 2021/22? I know you must have some contacts at Mazda. I'm drooling over the Vision coupe concept🤓👍👍

The sizing is amazing in this car. I'm 6'2 240lbs so I can't even get in the back seat lol, but the front seats fit like a charm, I have done dozens of 700+mile trips in this car no problem. Also, in an IS model or even the SUVs when you are tall the windows are too small and you will find yourself with a really dangerous blind spot as the bar between front and read windows is exactly at the 9oclock side of your face. It also sucks to not be able to put you arm up on the window. This problem is solved in the rc350 with the longer doors and windows. As to the comment about the power, I do agree that the jump from 311hp to 476hp seems a bit drastic. That said, I added a supercharger for about 10k all in and that actually got me to about the same torque and WHP as an RCF. One interesting thing about the car is that it really loses a lot of power when you let the transmission do all the work. Switching to tiptronic and shifting at the right spots will really allow you to get the most out of the car, and the shifting is amazing. In fact I have been able to outrun people in an RCF if I shifted and they just relied on the computer shifting itself. The one thing I REALLY hate about the car though is the terrible infotainment system. It really needs a larger screen that is also touch-screen.
@RaitisRides2 жыл бұрын
You are so right about the infotainment.
@KingMatt1 Жыл бұрын
Supercharger? Nice, you should post some vids of your RC. The infotainment was improved greatly in 2019 if you get the upgraded bigger screen option and it has CarPlay which is pretty future proof

Which one would I prefer, the BMW 330I or the RC350 F-Sport? Even though the BMW has less HP I think it has more torque than the Lexus. I may need some help deciding!
@Peter-rq4xn5 жыл бұрын
If you plan to keep the care long term, take the Lexus. I have owned 3 BMW’s. Still have my E39, but it has cost me a fortune to maintain. The RC-350 F-Sport engine and transmission is tried and true. It’ll be easy on your wallet and you will also appreciate that you don’t see many on the road.

The new direction lexus went with their front grill is a major turnoff. Just bought (2 days ago) a Infiniti QX50 Sport. A great value with a fair amount of luxury feel and performance plus they worked with me to get the exact car i wanted for the price that fit my goal. All the other dealerships failed to get me in their vehicle that i was their to enquire about.

@@RaitisRides @Raiti's Rides You still rocking the RS or did you trade it in for the Subaru? Also, thing about Q50 with V6 twin turbo can upgrade quickly to match the Red Sports 400hp. And while at it add the E85 fuel version tune/map for like 140hp gain and all be reliable.

U gotta think about how are u going to use the car for. If u want to track it or drive it on weekends, rcf is for u. If u want a fun, comfortable, and sporty daily car, rc350 is what u want. I bought rc350 for that reason. Very practical car.
