Both things can be true. Salah wasn't ready to be a head coach. The Jets are also a bad organization. Expecting a 40 year old Rodgers to save the team is a bit insane.

Nope, they have an Aaron Rodgers is a diva problem. Obviously Rodgers lobbied for Saleh to lose his job, he did the same crap in Green Bay with Coach McCarthy and GM Gutekunst. The Jets are letting Rodgers dictate the organization's moves too much, it's the same reason why Green Bay was all too eager to get rid of him.

@joshkelly4823 ай бұрын
This is a negative armchair fan perspective. Gute didn’t get fired, nor was there pressure. MM had nothing to do with Rodgers, and rodgers and saleh actually got along. Even if they didn’t- saleh is responsible for overseeing the offensive line coach. Is that Aaron? Come on bro.
@underwaterlevelz19473 ай бұрын
@@joshkelly482 If you believe all that, you're a fool. Gute didnt get fired because the Packers drew the line with Rodgers, but you can bet Rodgers definitely wanted McCarthy gone, and he wanted his pal LeFleur to be promoted to HC. Saleh was about to demote Hackett when he was fired.
@iandhr13 ай бұрын
It won't. They allowed Aaron Rodgers to be the de facto coach and general manager. They got him the OC he wanted, the WR #1 he wanted, always managed to score 9 points against Denver, and threw three interceptions against Minnesota. None of that is Robert Salah's fault. There is a reason why Green Bay was willing to get rid him. However, it's not necessarily mutually exclusive to say that Salah might have been the wrong fit for the Jets. In today's NFL defensive coordinators seem to have more problems transitioning into a head-coaching role than OCs.

Tuesday morning, Saleh tried to demote Hackett, AR, got wind of it, and called Woody. Ten minutes later, Saleh was gone.

I could see it coming after the Broncos game when Rogers look incredulous at the suggestion that he dial back his cadence count in his response was that they could hold the offensive line accountable - it's either that or the owners were concerned about the corporate advertising dollar or the fact that the Jets had become the butt joke of every sport analysist and the fans

Everyone is just assuming rob is responsible for the defense because of the position he left. But what if jeff was doing such a good job that rob barely bothered to have input.... that would mean that we have been giving credit to a guy who litterly did nothing, and the guy actually responsible for any of the jets success is in charge now..... that..... thats why you make that move..... this isn't really rocket science. If it doesn't make sense that the "less smart guy" got the job over the "smarter guy".... he probably is not really the smarter guy.

That's on the players.... Not doing their job ... Rodgers threw the interception on Saleh..... The problem is the wanna be Player-Coach Rodgers.... And ownership is allowing it.....
