Tony that was me the got Orangewood to reach out to you back when I was a Tac member. I contacted them, told them all about Acoustic Tuesday and suggested they send you a guitar to test drive. I’m so glad they did and I’m happy to see you liked the guitar. I think they are a great company and I now own 4 of their guitars.

I had an orangewood but gave it away to two young kids that are learning to play. But while I had it i was quite impressed by it, especially how well it played / sounded for the price. Incredible guitar to start on. (btw Clapton hands down)

Regarding the Sage: For me, as someone who doesn't know that much about high-end guitars and hasn't had the chance to play on them, it would have been really interesting to hear your thoughts on the limitations of this model. It seems like a super good value for the money, but what would you look for in a higher-end guitar that couldn't find in this one, especially in regards to tone and playability (rather than aesthetics)? Also... how does this compare with a Taylor 114ce?? Thanks! You make the best acoustic vids!

/Not so small win; I’ve been playing Open Mics for the last few years, which are two songs per person. This summer, I decided to play all these songs out in the streets by coffee shops and restaurants. My repertoire is fingerstyle songs of Bossa Novas, Jazz and Popular arrangement. With the hat money, I bought a used Epiphone Acoustic to donate for Guitars for Vets(Canada). PLUS, I did a set up on the guitar, since I followed a course with a luthier

I'm learning! thank you for the lessons. I am really enjoying it. addicting. I'd have a drink with you but i swore it off until my friends local artist backyard concert and after show jam this weekend. i was getting to the point of not getting excited about such things. 1 week of TAC and fret board wizardry, after all these years of half ass occasional noodling, and I'm already feeling more confident and relaxed. once again thank you and I'm glad I made the decision. this is not a paid advertisement.

Hey Tony, how about Texas Two Step? Thanks for featuring my Guitarsenal. By the way that's not my wife that's Jayne Henderson, Wayne's daughter who built my two Henderson guitars. We met when she came to Austin to deliver one of her amazing ukuleles to a customer. She's an amazing person and builder - you should definitely check her out!. I had to clear that up post haste to keep my actual wife from getting after me.

I play an acoustic a friend made... nobody notices it because it's a plain looking OM sized guitar. It blows me away, and is so inspirational to play... it's hard to put down. The Orangewood sounds wonderful. Will check the spec's... l like wide necks...

I discovered Orangewood via a fantastic KZbin Guitarist -Dave Tran, an extremely talented Guitarist from Australia & seems like a heck of a super nice Guy. One night, KZbin was just playing via AutoFeed & in background. Suddenly I heard this Guitar that sounded SO great, so stopped to see who & what was playing. It was Dave Tran & he was playing this very pretty Orangewood. I Googled right away to OW Site & think I found which Guitar I was listening to - The Hudson (Not Torrefied). Listened more to some Demo's on there as I looked around and was Amazed at the Prices! I had just purchased a Larrivee LV-10 3 wks ago (I'm in Love) & that was for a very specific purpose, so Price really wasn't a factor for that Buy. But it was odd that I didn't come across Orangewood when doing some background Research of Guitar Brands? Just didn't come across it until Dave Tran played one. No doubt I've got a wonderful Guitar with Larrivee Brand but they are a bit pricey for a Starter Guitar. Due to the great Combo of Orangewood,(Sound/$) I will definitely consider them for my Son just starting out. I was going to give him my old Martin SP000T16 but rethinking that now. Will have to find where I can try some out but Dave and those Demo's were super encouraging!

I have watched a number of reviews of the various Orangewood models, all have been very positive. I like the fact that they give back to the community and that they provide a quality product at an affordable price. Unfortunately, I need/prefer guitars with a wider nut and every model I looked at had a more or less average width. Still, they seem to be a great value and sound good.

@@algomez04 id rather have a Martin D-28 but Martin doesnt have a patent as far as.i know on their sound or design, anyone can make a guitar with the same dimensions and bracing etc. But what makes a Martin D-28 or HD-28 so different from other guitars made the same way??? And yes im aware of the different tone woods and bracing(forward or rear shifted, scalloped etc.) But there companies doing the exact same thing at cheaper prices because of China or because of machinary etc.

On the Subject of guitar names. I have named my Guitar after all of the Girls from the Hammer Horror movies which I grew up. I have been lucky enough over the years to meet many of them. I was stuck for names as I am no longer married and really had no one I could think of to name them after so I named them after the Hammer girls ( which is also what I call my guitars collectively)

Hey Tony et al, got a small in this week, on the let it go app I found an Epiphone AJ-100 for $48, I was going on a road trip and did not want to take my late fathers Crafter (the guitar I am learning on) so I figured if something happened to a $48 guitar it wouldn't hurt nearly as much as something happening to my Dad's. However the neck was severely bowed, over the next two days I slowly tightened the truss rod (Without your advice no way would have tried this on my own) now it plays wonderful, thank you for showing me that I could do this.

With harmonica/kazoo rack; he soloes with each of them. KZbin has Eric Clapton on acoustic 12 string playing the same song. For the kazoo solo, everybody in the band plays the solo on kazoo! Fuller wrote it, by the way : kzbin.info/www/bejne/q3OwdpKAZdWZadE Clapton : kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4TdgWaVgMRqe6c In the picture, Clapton has a six string; Slash has the real 12 string.
