This episode hits home as my mama used to say every time I walked out the door, "REMEMBER WHO YOU REPRESENT!" --- As I got older she said she wanted me to always remember I was a daughter of The King of Kings. ... As her daughter, I'm so thankful she instilled that in me. It is always what I think of when making a decision in life. It is part of her legacy that she will leave with her kids. She left this reminder as an imprint in my mind and on my ❤.

I resisted listening to this episode because my children are grown and, looking back, I wish I would have done things differently. But you and Pricilla gave me so much hope. It’s never too late. Prayers for my children are just as effective now that they are adults as they were when they were children. And the joy I feel in Christ now can be an example to them, even though I wasn’t walking with Him when my kids were little. Thank you for the hope and joy!

I absolutely love this! "War Room" brought me to Christ, and Priscilla's "War Room Bible Study" helped me navigate a particularly challenging year. After accepting Christ, I was saved from an abusive, narcissistic husband who nearly killed me. However, God placed the right people in my life just two nights before, leading me to see "War Room" at their church. They handed me the Bible study book and invited me to return the following day for Bible study. Had I not attended with these friends and their husbands for three consecutive days, the men wouldn't have been there to witness my then-husband waiting behind the door with a knife. I thank God every day for the past nine years and seven months for the opportunity to wake up to His beauty. Thank you, Priscilla, for introducing me to "War Room"! And thank you ladies for a great podcast!

I'm only eight minutes into this and I just have to say That she is going to be (if she's not already ) totally assured that they themselves are going to be aware of this being a very powerful component to their lives in such a profound way. I am fifty and was not raised in Christian home per se.. but my own mother had similar ( not specific Christ based) but just was very instinctive in encouraging certain beliefs in me and my siblings and i just personally understand how a self perception can be a life saving tool sometimes and wow what a great thing to share.

I always tell my son he a Christian teenager. Remember who He is representing. I taught my son the scripture Psalms 19:14 when he was 6 and we start and end every single day saying it. Some days I say it when he is grumpy or having a moment but 98% of the time he says it. This has really helped us start and end our day in a positive way.

My kids used to walk with God. Now that they are in their late 30s and 40s, it has been quite some time since they had a relationship with God. I even walked away from Church for a while and almost lost my faith completely. I am trying to learn how to pray for my family, and others, to come back to a relationship with God and grow again in their faith. My husband was ethically and morally a good role model for my son until we divorced when my son was 21 due to my husband‘s alcoholism. Now that he is in his 30s, I am fortunate that my dad and my brother are stepping up to be people that he can talk to about Things that young man just don’t discuss with their moms at that age because his dad basically is not in his life anymore. My son actually has more Godly character than my former husband. My adult children have chosen not to marry, and we own a house together … so we have a multigenerational house as my daughter has a daughter of her own and her father has passed … and my son is very much the man of the house, even though he is not yet 40. I am very much looking forward to the time when my whole family is once again walking with God

I would pray with him or as a family about it. I would also make time or opportunities for the son to have a say in plans, etc. I really like Sandra Peoples, Risen Motherhood and Jenn Soehnlin. I suggest Sandra Peoples first. She is a sibling of a special needs as well as having 2 sons, one with autism and she discusses about this topic. Praying for you Jenny!

Therapy is great IF and WHEN you can afford it. There are therapists and then there are therapists. Unfortunately the less privileged people don’t get the best therapy. The cheapest I’ve found is $50 a session (1 hr), with a therapist in training; so the lowest level therapist at the local Christian counseling center I found. That’s a lot of money for a family already struggling financially 😢

Paul teaches to follow him as he follows Christ: 1 Corinthians 4:16; 11:1 & Phillipians 3:17. If Pricilla (or anyone else) is teaching to follow Christ, they are teaching another gospel (Galatians 1:8-9 KJV). Paul states in Romans 15:4 KJV that all scripture written aforetime is for our learning (not for application). I wonder if Pricilla understands what Paul is talking about with the word "aforetime" since she stated "to follow Christ." Even so, come, Lord Jesus Rev 22:20 KJV
@SteveSpence-cc4pp2 ай бұрын
Pricilla's affirmations to her children are reinforcing their human goodness. Romans 3:10 KJV As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one. She is turning her children into who she hopes they will become in the world instead of teaching them that they are nothing without Christ (Galatians 6:3 KJV) For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. Everything she talks about is works. Romans 4:4-5 KJV [4] Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. [5] But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly,his faith is counted for righteousness. Pricilla reminds me quite a bit of women I've known who are detailed orientated about everything and everyone in their circle and needs to control everything. She should be encouraging her children to seek out and ask the Lord to guide them instead of her putting guard rails on their behavior especially once they become responsible for themselves as an adult. I wonder if she might have some narsissistic tendencies which drive her to control others. The only thing Pricilla should continually pray for is her children to accept the Lord as Savior. I still pray for our children to know and grow in the Lord and they are 52 and 50 years old. Even so, come, Lord Jesus Rev 22:20 KJV
