I’ve also experienced some temperature fluctuations with my Audew 150-count thermoelectric humidor. The temperature can change dramatically between spring/summer months versus fall/winter months. During the spring/summer months of last year (late March 2021-early September 2021), the temperature usually stayed in the low 70s early in the day, but would sometimes rise above 75 degrees later in the day even though I had the temperature set to the lowest setting (65 degrees). When the temperature rises about 75 degrees, I will open the door a few inches to bring the temperature down. During the fall & winter months (late September 2021-early March 2022), the temperature stayed in the low/mid 60s even though I had the temperature set to the highest setting (75 degrees). I use a Govee H5179 Wi-Fi Bluetooth thermometer/hygrometer in my humidor, and it stores temperature & RH data as far back as one year. Although I’ve experienced these seasonal temperature fluctuations, I don’t consider it to be a serious problem since the RH has typically remained well within the acceptable range (65%-75%) & I haven’t had any issues with my cigars.

I've had this thing since 1st week of February, it's definitely not because of temperature fluctuations due to the changing of seasons. The room temperature is pretty constant. The fan seems to be constantly running for no reason, dropping the temp inside to 59-60 when the unit is set to 70 and the room temp is 67. I know the unit doesn't heat, but at minimum I expect it to maintain the room temp of 67, and not continuously cool. I know some people say to just unplug it, but that defeats the purpose. Might as well say I am the proud owner of an overpriced Tupador.

I have the same issue, I just unplug it when I know my temperature of my room is under 70 degrees. It seems to be much more consistent in the summertime at holding 70 when the room is 70 or over.

Right now my humidor is unplugged and yes that technically solves the problem, but in my opinion that kind of defeats the purpose of why I bought a $200 Humidor. I didn't buy it in hopes of owning an overpriced tupador lol. I want to turn on the light and see inside etc. If that's how these things work than it is definitely a poor design. I am not expecting it to heat, but also don't expect the fan to constantly be running, dropping the temp inside to 60 when it's set to 70 and the room temp is 67

Thanks so much for making this video! What were the results of your experiment? I am curious to know!

Does that audew have a heater as well in it? I think a lot of these thermoelectric units just do cooling. So double check your rooms ambient temp cause if it's cold, the humidor will be too.
