I just got this phone in black. It's been an amazing experience. Software is good, keyboard is good. The battery life is just amazing. (Lasts two full days). I am happy to support this company and hope some more will too, to keep this competent company as an available option!

I had some cash and was about to purchase the KeyOne when it first released, but since I watch your vids and saw it failed I held off and bought computer parts instead. I can assure that, at least based on my experience, the company has always been uncompromising in terms of build quality. Wow, good work, Blackberry. That's a pretty impressively quick response. Regarding repairability: I think that, since it's a phone aimed at corporate customers, they went with the strongest adhesive possible in order to keep the display attached (both preventing it falling out and more importantly keep it lending structural rigidity, readily evident if you compare the button areas to the old version post-bending). A corporate customer wouldn't replace the screen themselves if it busted, after all, they would turn the phone in and be provided a new one.

You should get the phone produced after July. There is no exact date known, but I assume, they started to fix products after mid June, so just to be on safe side get one produced in or after July. Mine was produced in August, no issue at all

error 53 is usually from replacing your screen and not using the original home button. error 53 is given when the touch ID test fails. updating to the newest firmware should take of that problem, apple did patch it.

As someone a little bitter about buying the phone within the first weeks it was available (Verizon CDMA version), I am happy to see that Blackberry had the wit and integrity to resolve this issue for everyone else. I've had no issues though and have subjected the phone to a few drops without a case too. Only very minor scuffs to the aluminum resulted.

Jerry, I understand you're trying to help consumer on their dilemma and saving their investment, you did a good job doing investigating with products defect or weakness. On the second unit you had, I am not sure if thats the right thing to do to conduct another test. I had to ask you this because my 15 years of experience in electronics assembly, every units has a series of number and every batch of packages we packed and ship comes with lot control number. Therefore, you might still picking one up that belongs to the same batch, is that make sense? What I could suggest with you since the company directly communicating on you, why not asking them how many phones they shipped under certain batch or lot number so that they can figure out how many units they spread all over the world. Every units has serial number in it and all of them are stored in their system. I'd like to tell you more but it'll be long story telling discussion. Great job!

I called BB customer support because I purchased my Keyone from Amazon on June 6. I dropped my phone a few times to test and see if I may have gotten one of the batches that has the screen falling off. I am fearful that it might fall off someday when I least expect it. So I am getting a new Keyone from Support for free. That is what I understand as a good company. Thank you BB
