I do think the concept of this is cool, but get yourself larger sheets, the small ones are too hard to figure out where to place the sheets

What if you set your Machine to cut the perimeter first and then without removing your material off the Mat go back and turn on the foil setting. And when it comes to cut the object out again you simply just skip ? It’s a work around but it may work

We can't change the order of operation on the Cricut. :( I guess what I could do is not load in the tools, let it do its cycle for the foiling. Then when it tells me to do the cut, do the cut. Then when it's done, before ejecting the mat again to load in the foiling and prepare the area then press the C button again and it'll do the cycle all over again. But holy cow that's a long work around.

The bigger foil sheets do make it a lot easier to place the foil

I'm gonna pick up larger sheets, because I do like the final results, but I don't want to struggle so hard aligning the small sheet onto my cutout

The foil tool with foil any design, however they won't all look like singe line designs. I have to go in to Adobe Illustrator to create designs that aren't already single line. I hope that makes sense.

this is true - I do have a hack on how to get your bubble-looking designs filled in, while only using cricut design space

What else can a laser printer do?

a laser printer can do anything a ink jet can, but typically their toner is more expensive.

@@ashleefalcoin the long run it isn’t. You buy inkjet ink in smaller amounts. I’ve used lasers extensively for years. You do get sticker shock for each cartridge. But, they last a very long time.

You can do foil with lasers. Use painters tape to stoke the foil to the paper and run it through the laser.
