@@ModFix Approx 4.9kg stock, there’s a few options for lighter aftermarket’s Jap services CC ultra light is 3.9kg but that’s forged steel so super tough. RPC’s is 3.2kg aluminium/Chromly that one. Clockwise motion one is 2.9kg. Looks very naked this one. Has to be steel too.

Nice video,it was nice to see data on just the oil pump conversion for a change! How come you went for clockwise sump over a tegiwa? As far as i know tegiwa works with stock pump

Thanks 👍 I didn't know there was a Tegiwa baffle. Is it a weld in one? I did some research when I got the car about 3 years ago and the clockwise motion was the one to get. You just have to keep your eyes peeled for when they make a batch 😁

@@ModFix aye the tegiwa is a weld in job alright. The clockwise drop in's I have heard are better as well, plus the extra power with the fd2 pump is good, just add a LSD with semi's and she'll be savage on track!

Hello ModFix. I have a question. What do you think about total lightweight engine mods? RRC oil pump, fly wheel, cam pulleys, air-condirion kompressor off. Is worth it,all these mods? Or you just do oil pump, with good benefits?

Hi. I can't really talk for all these mods except the oil pump. I only did the oil pump as I wanted to do the sump baffle. I probably wouldn't do it just for power gains unless you were doing timing chain. I guess it all depends how big your budget is.

Wouldn’t you need to change the tune to see all the benefits Higher safe rpm Quicker to rev up (lighter rotation mass) Other benefits Etc Just using the same tune gives a guid that it’s potentially got more ? More rpm a bigger throttle body wold release more ? Cheers

As far as I know you don't need a map tweak for the pump. Admittedly the max rpm could go up, but I'm higher than standard already. I mainly did it because I wanted the sump baffle. Good question though 👍 I'll have to ask some more knowledgeable people 😁

Doesn't need a map tweek. The extra power is because there's less parasitic loss due to less weight.

what rpm fd2 oil pump is safe can rev 9000rpm? or 8800 max?

Wait til you get out on to the road for a proper test... The gains aren't with the HP gained in this mod it's how freely your car goes thru the revs..
