Dampening the sound is not the only thing silencers do, they also hide the muzzle flash (unless you use high velocity), and that is arguably much more useful, esp at night or in rain or fog.

personally especially with the winny and bornheim silenced, you get more backup ammo with the subsonic and even if you can snag ammo crates with non subsonic, subsonic damn near ensures no one will be hearing your shots around the map and most of all, personally i dont think the muzzle velocity nerf and bullet drop nerf matters to a person playing silent weapons properly namely being a solo player moving around compounds wanting to take advantage of actually being stealthy as the subsonic silencers giving ya back pre nerf silence is 100% worth it cause unless your RIGHT BEHIND someone when you take a shot and somehow miss their head, it doesnt matter as even if they have general feeling of your direction, flat out they will still 9 times outta 10 have no clue where you are still and you can even take multiple shots from the same position before they learn where they are getting shot from if you pick your shots right and at least body tap if not outright headshot to avoid them seeing the direction from it for example, hitting a wall next to them showing the direction of the shooter.

Imo, the Subsonic and Silencer rework is just that: a re-ballance. Most games just assume your character would naturally equip subsonic ammo to a suppressed weapon, hence the reduced damage and muzzle velocity. This new rework lets you choose to be as sneaky as you've always been, but with more drawbacks, or to simoly be _less_ audible at medium ranges. Also, while it's not immediately obvious, you can actually carry more subsonic ammo than standard, so there is a bit of incentive to use it if you're whiffing shots!

When it comes to quiet guns. The bow reigns supreme in the silent factor, however be very careful pulling back the bow when close to someone. A gamer with those headsets will hear you clear as day pull back that bow.

@@DamienSmyth-v6k and it really does give you away! I actually have a video of me stalking someone for about 5 mins and I found him in a bush because he Ads and I heard the breath. I solo lightfoot right up to the bush shoot into it and killed him, you couldn't even see the dude no joke you could just hear him breath

Maybe I was lucky but using the silent Kraig with sub ammo had a trio aiming in the wrong direction when I was shooting them 🎉

I tried using the subsonic rounds with the Winfield and it definitely is a very challenging weapon to use. That being said it is fun using on a silencer if you enjoy that, maybe some tweaks need to be made or maybe this is just something we need to get used to.

Silencer with SubSonic is whisper quiet, so that's a good thing if you want to avoid being heard, but using SubSonic on an unsuppressed weapon isn't worth it IMO. •>Outside of that, with SubSonic ammo you will HAVE to relearn where to aim to hit a moving target

Sparks sniper with subsonics. Did that feel any good? Velocity is super low and you get a bit less noice per shot, but was it worth it?

I think subsonic eliminates specifically the sound of the bullet, and not the sound of the gun. So the utility might be that at close range, the enemy won't hear that the bullet was just near them if you missed, since the bullet doesn't do the wooshing sound as it goes near people

Subsonic is cringe tbh even poptart doesn't look that interested in it lol Edit: main issue with subsonic for me is its special ammo yet isn't really that special.. it kinda just makes ammo supply harder just to get worse stats on your gun but your alittle less quiet, if subsonic restocked from regular ammo id play it
