I love how genuine your videos are. There's so many "cleaning" videos where it's obvious that they just dumped a bag of garden soil onto a mostly clean rug just to film it's "amazing transformation". Your videos feature stubborn stains like this one- stuff it takes some actual work and know-how in order to clean. I know I would have given up and just soaked the whole rug in coffee to match the stain, lol.

Quite a transition once finished. The designs of this rug are very subdued, but were not at all visible before you began. I agree that the acid content of coffee can simulate a dye. That, coupled with the immense heat of the beverage imbeds itself into the fibers. Congratulations are in order for overcoming this adversity. I imagine that the rug has undergone some UV fading; due to the ghostly apparition of the geometric characters. Nevertheless, what was once a filthy, abused, throw, is now a reusable floor covering. It will surely find sanctuary once donated to the less fortunate. Well done. Enjoy the weekend, young man. Cheers!

I can only think of a couple of reasons a carpet could possibly get this bad, and the owners pay to get it cleaned rather than buy a new one. -Their grandparent, parent, etc., passed down the carpet to you, meaning it is an heirloom and has sentimental value. However, you never really cared for the rug and let it get dirty. Your family who gave the rug to you want to come over. They’d most likely want to see the rug sometime during the visit; and there is no way you are letting them see the rug in that condition. So at that point, you pay to get it cleaned. (Even more impertinent if the rug is unique and you can’t find a replica to purchase anywhere) -The rug doesn’t even have to have been passed down for generations among your family, it could just bring good memories. (Getting proposed to on the carpet, getting a college acceptance letter, your child taking first steps on it) Anything like that. Over time the rug would eventually get worn down or dirty. By then, you don’t want to throw the memories away so you pay to get it cleaned. 🤷

Just out of curiosity. When you flip the rugs and use the rotary and pressure washer on the backing, would it allow more dirt to be freed from the pile if you had the carpet on a honeycomb plastic rack? Would using the rotary like that damage the carpet or rotary?
@MountainRugCleaning2 жыл бұрын
Ummm i have tried this and I'm not totally convinced it makes a lot of difference. Pressure washing the back does push out a lot morde dirt but its the same if you just left it on a solid surface. The fibres just hold onto it all.
