I have a 2020 STI. I drive it every day. It's perfect for me. It has enough power to stay out of trouble, enough breaks or when you need to stop in to hurry the room for groceries. Two kids in the back if necessary. Was just a great all-around car. Mine is fun and dependable. I encourage everybody to at least check it out when you're looking for a new car

@@steveswiat Again congrats. One of my biggest regrets in life was not being in a position to be able to get the WXR STI S209 when they went on sale here in the US. That car was something special to those who get it. No matter how I looked at the numbers, I just could not make them work and that was when they were at MSRP. Good thing you were able to grab your car because prices are just going up. Your car is just going to be appreciated more in time, especially with that manual as people strive to electrify everything on 4 wheels. Fortunately, I was able to get a 2019 Honda Civic Type R. That is something I never take for granted. Besides some very minor mods, I am keeping my car bone stock and am just enjoying it and never letting it go. BTW, who did you go for your window tint and what shade did you get for your back windows again?
@steveswiat Жыл бұрын
@@malcolmar Yeah the S209 would have been sweet! I'm hoping your right, my goal is to keep this car for life. It is such a blissful experience driving it around and the steering/gear box are just incredible. I really enjoy it and love just cruising around in it almost everyday. The Type R is really sweet too, I considered one of those as well before the prices went nuts. I got the tints/PPF done at Subaru Autonation Scottsdale - they outsourced it though. I'm sorry I can't recall to who. Are you in the PHX valley area?
@malcolmar Жыл бұрын
@@steveswiat Thanks for the fast reply. I was blessed to be able to get my Type R new at MSRP. Again, I don't take that for granted. Great minds think alike because amazing cars are not some sort of consumable. My Type R might as well be a family heirloom to remind future generations of the differences between cars you drive and cars that drive you. The same can be said about your WRX STI. Thanks for the info on the tint. I have been waiting to try to have a quality tint job done because I don't want it to bubble, peel, or turn purple and your tint looks great. I am in So Cal. I will try to stick to some tint places that have done work with some Honda dealerships over here. Good luck with your channel and enjoy that sweet ride. The more others modify their cars beyond recognition while others destroy their cars street racing or on the track, the value of your car will only increase. Also, highly recommend a good ceramic coating if you have not done that already. It can get pricey to go to a shop but for about $15 I used Turtle Wax 53409 Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating. Two coats protect your car for up to a year. I have used it on my Type R and after 3 years the paint still looks showroom new.
@steveswiat Жыл бұрын
@@malcolmar glad to hear you got the R at a good price. It will hold its value long term most likely as they make less and less manual vehicles that offer true driving experience. Yeah the tints are a must here in AZ. It’s garage kept but when I’m out I stick a sun shade in the front windshield since the UV is so strong. I’ve had ceramic coating on a previous car and loved it. I haven’t done it on this car yet but will consider it. At this point I have no plans to modified it. It drives great stock and is quick enough for my goals with it. It shines on the backroads more than doing highway pulls. Good luck with your car man. Appreciate the comments!

LOL this is for sure. Since getting my Raptor I find the STI less and less comfortable as a daily. Its strictly a weekend car now and might be for sale soon.
@odys38036 ай бұрын
@@steveswiat I suspect the Raptor is the same. For a daily driver, short or long distance, comfort is most important. Of course a car should have enough power and stability safely overtake and manoeuvre out of dangerous situations. If you want to go fast, go on a racetrack or get a bike (put yourself and not others into imminent danger).
