Great video. It's a complicated topic. It's a pay to do better game at most and benefits of bounty and bond equipment are tank specific for fixing issues within that particular vehicle. The main benefit of food is that on most tier 8 tanks you can use food plus bond vents to get a good view range of 445m or better rather than just coated optics which is a one trick pony. Some tanks have focused bad stats that make them "balanced". One of my favourite tanks is the Lansen C, which has terrible gun handling so I had to stack IRM with Vstab to hit anything in terms of a medium range snapshot. The day I got bond vents and vstab on it along with a vstab directive I switched to a turbo in the mobility slot and got my first ace in the tank followed by 3MOE a short time later. If you want to do a proper test of the difference you should consider getting two premium tanks in a matching pair such as the Patriot, Scorpion G or the Gurad who have identical twins with and without special camo . Have one with all the best gear and one without and play them for 100 games each and compare stats such as MOE progress and such.

I have started only carrying standard rounds and normal HE to help grind credits up. I have found it makes me a more careful and cautious player. It really helps your aiming and also you quickly learn which of your guns have the worst in-recticle variations.

Everything is about experience and skill. I started playing, when I was 11. I was bad as hell, but I was enjoying it, because I didn’t care. After like 5 years, I started to think, that I want to be better player, so I started watching youtubers/streamers to get better in the game. Now, after 9 years of playing it, I have around 3k wn8 and I can finally say, that I feel like I know how to play this game.

Gold ammo does make the game a lot easier, especially for the T-54. with gold rounds you get an extra 100 pen.

Max, I couldn't agree more with everything you said. As with anything in life, experience is the key. I made the mistake of trying to run before I could walk when I started playing nearly 2 years ago & as a consequence my stats show that. Watching a lot of You Tube videos has helped. Your Grind series have helped me enormously. To see that it's not just me with ghost shells, games where you realise that your doomed and sessions where nothing works. I do feel that the present Meta of speed and DPM contributes to some people's need to go full gold and bonds. I've found my niche as a TD player (Over 50 and the reactions of a slug at times!) However the principles are the same, experience and playing to your Tanks strengths.

You know in the other more recent videos you said you have a problem with recording and frame drops, could it be you changed from FULL SCREEN to WINDOWED FULL SCREEN or the other way round. I find that sometimes the system does that without telling me. Especially if I switch windows when loading the login screen before I have connected... I get different quality with recording depending on that setting, so just a thought. Alex.,

okay, it's not "pay to win", it's "pay to increase your overall win rate". Imagine you have unlimited funds and your twin is penniless. Cruel, but whatever. You get a premium subscription, you buy various accellerators, premium tanks. You get to tier 10 faster, because you earn more xp. You can afford more gold ammo, because you earn extra credits. You can afford to buy equipment faster, you can afford to deploy food more often. Result: Your shots will be slightly more accurate than your twins. Your pen will be better. Your reload will be slightly faster. Your spotting will be slightly better, your camo will be slightly better. Your tank will be slightly faster. Your crews will gain skills faster, meaning you get sixth sense faster, you get camo/repair skills faster. And with unlimited gold, your crews will be better trained as you progress through the tank trees. it may only make a 1% difference, but you will have a slightly higher win rate than your penniless twin. And I suspect that it's probably more than 1% - because all the high-end players run food all the time, and they almost always have 5-7 skill crews in the tanks they're running on stream.

oh, and you'll get to high-tier combat faster than your twin. which will be bad for you at first, but assuming you're both able to learn from your mistakes, you'll learn from the more subtle mistakes of tier 10, because you got there faster, and you can afford to play at tier 10 (because you earn more credits, because you have premium) . Meanwhile, your twin will have to spend more time at tiers 6-8 farming credits, which tends to not teach the most brutal lessons

about my gold ammo setup=20 gold rounds if tank have enough bullets becouse you need enough ammo to kill few super strong tanks what you meet,you can also play without any gold rounds from tier5+ but you need some weakspot learning and flanking to pen weakspots and it can be more fun than just turning enemies into paper

Biggest difference is gold ammo, especially when you are are against a heavy and/or in a T8 against a T10. I have had a lot of situations in which I couldn't do anything because my standard pen wasn't enough. I could make an argument that food also makes difference if it allows you get 445+ view range so you can drop Optics for something else. Due to the innate RNG, it's hard to measure the value of equipment, consumables and other stuff in such a small sample size. Will better equipment, better crew and premium trinkets help you? Yes. Will that magically turn you into a purple demigod? No.

No doubt food gets you more assistance damage spotting and actually hitting your target and gold gets you more pens. I’ve had a lot of games where with gold ammo would’ve got me 1-2k more damage, if you’re trying to mark tanks your competitors are doing this

It's like you got hired right away in the company because some higher up knows you even though you're not the most skilled or have many experiences, if that makes sense. Better would be probably: you got top spec notebook at your company while others got 5-year old. Will your applications load and process data faster? They will. Will that make you better or more efficient employer? Not necessarily. It only gives you chance to be more efficient (and in result, better).

They made difference, but not that big what most ppl think. The biggest real difference is gold ammo (but using full gold is usually stupid idea, if the shell type is not just same type with bigger penetration value or apcr vs standard ap - exactly as you've mentioned, in many situations standard apcr is better to use than gold heat. Sometimes some equipment might work to players disadvantage too, like turbo and getting too far in because of that or starting fighting a bit too fast, before allies arrive into positions, making yourself only spotted target.

I see one big flaw in the reasoning. You’re using a tank with decent AP penetration. When playing heavy tanks, especially, or medium tanks with subpar AP, gold shells make a huge difference.

Pay2win doesn't mean progress behind paywall but progress makes easier like premium time, prem tanks, gold conversions, battlepass etc. Free2play can access to them by grinding enough time. Premium shells cost a lot so needs more time just to grind credits thus gold spam is pay2win. Bond equipments and gold spam is just a greater multiplier of your skills. If you have zero skills, how many you multiply it, the results would still be zero. I created an alt account for recruit and gold spam at the last day, it does make difference as I need less care to aim. Very fun too. As f2p, I rather play with tier 8 prem tanks and also earn credits. 2 birds 1 stone 😂 and play kranvan in ranks. Still grinding kranvan and I had better overall stats than my average tanks. Basically: Skill > Meta Tank > Gold Spam > Bond Equipment

I'm losing interest in this game, but I nothing I do matters. I only play well in defeats with bad teams and never seem to give match winning performances. It doesn't matter what I put in or on the tank the game will have decided before I start if I'm going to win or lose. Also very good point about dpm, I do love the use HE shells to get 4500 dpm suggestion from some other KZbinr. When the reality is how often do you get that amount of damage in a game let alone in 1 minute lol

We tend to forget Gold ammos are much faster, much accurate and tend to bounce less. That my friend alone can make a huge difference. Just imagine the other side shooting all basics his 5 shots would only get 2 pens while you in gold mostly will do.

Benefit is much smaller for the best players and its small for the worst players. Its the mediocre average 49% player that knows a bit about the maps and the vision and detection mechanics and tank roles and such that would benefit from it. The worst player with a proper setup would also get some spotting assist he would never get with ordinary equipment and a 75% crew. So its not a linear thing. But to say it makes no difference is a blatant lie.

I actually do the opposite with fire ex, tool box and med kit. Fire ex small, as I rarely use it and often get set on fire when I'm almost dead anyway or the battle is almost over. So I don't want to just waste 20k on a auto-fire ex. The tool box and med kit, I have large for the passive bonuses. Again I very rarely need to use them early on in the game.

Agenda? Lulz. "Gold" ammo allows you to hit more spots on enemy tanks and have a chance to hit, which allows you to in both theory and practice to aim shorter and thus fire more often. Not to mention, that for certain tanks with certain guns you can pretty much overcome most enemies up front. Now, if you have 2 exactly same tanks with people of similar skill, the one shooting gold has higher chances of winning, because he doesn't have to mind as much where he shoots as the person shooting regular ammo. It's simple observations. And if you factor in stuff like... oh I don't know, better reload time, shorter aim time when needed, and boosted mobility or better vents boosting your crew skills in general? Like the stuff you can get for bonds earned in-game or bought for real money? Yeah, saying it doesn't matter is simply not true. Because at the end of the day, a large portion of the game is not skill based, but managed by calculation formulas on the servers. You have better stats in certain departments? You have higher chances, and statistically will perform better than people with worse stats. It's as simple as that, because it's simple math. And no, it won't be visible in a single game... assuming it would or even should is a strawman argument. All you need to do is listen to some content creators who ocasionally play on non-hardcore acounts. And guess what? Somehow they all say the difference is clear as day vs night. I like your content, but the argument "gold" makes no difference? Balls. Like that magical shot on the 277, right? :)

As for me, noob player, thats doing 1000-2000 sometimes 3000 . For me big diferrence makes shell velocity, speed. 800m/s and 1200m/s is big difference game wise. 1500m/s is god mode. If u have fast shell velocity like 1200m/s atleast, RNG treats u better, just need to be fully aimed, but it shoots where u aimed at, point to point most of the time. Nothing more painfull can be then missed shot with a low shell velocity ammo... RNG treats u like shit then. For noob player mobility/camo and good gun - makes diferrence.

Wow- I'm surprised Max. 19:00-19:30; your fight with the Obj 140 was CLEARLY influenced by better ammo, better gun handling, better bloom reductions, better tank handling, better everything. To say that it's not seems disingenuous. I'm surprised that you would take this stance (that it makes only minor improvements at best). It turned, what would have been a struggle, into an easy take down for you. You made multiple pens through his turret, the last of which was through a small opening in the wreckage of a dead tank. APCR would not have performed NEARLY as well. You would have bounce several shots off of his turret, which may have given him the opportunity to relocate for a more advantageous position. I'm simply baffled by this stance. Please help me understand your reasoning for this, other than being a WG CC and feeling obligated...

The 140 was going up the hill butt first, decreasing the angle of his turret roof armour, it probably was less than 200mm, and hitting the shots in this game is mostly RNG, hope this helps.Good vid,hate full gold spammers, especially top tier.

Well imho you picked the wrong tank to showcase the difference between standard and bond equipment as the t62a's gun already is very accurate. There are so many other tanks with wich you really feel an impact when using bond or bounty equipment

Never use the term "skill" when talking WoT. Any game with a 25% RNG doesnt make for skill. Additionally, the intricacies of the MM put non paying players at a disadvantage. Yes, the MM is rigged...its expressly stated in WGs patent applications for 9 years running.
