Thanks for the reaction! LOVEBITES are the GODDESSES of heavy metal ! In 2018 , LOVEBITES won the prestigious Metal Hammer GOLDEN GODS Award for "Best New Band" (London,UK). The winners of the GOLDEN GODS Award in different years and in various categories were such famous bands and musicians,such as: BLACK SABBATH, IRON MAIDEN, MOTöRHEAD, JUDAS PRIEST, TWISTED SISTER, OZZY OSBOURNE, LEMMY KILMISTER, ZAKK WYLDE, NIKKI SIXX, JOE PERRY, BRIAN MAY, ANTHRAX, SLAYER, TESTAMENT, SAXON, NIGHTWISH, TRIVIUM, RAMMSTEIN, SABATON, CHILDREN OF BODOM, ARCH ENEMY, MACHINE HEAD (and this is not a complete list). LOVEBITES play speed, thrash, progressive, power, neoclassical metal. Some songs have elements of symphonic metal and hard rock. LOVEBITES also plays classical music (piano). Ladies often mix these genres in their songs LOVEBITES is a Japanese all-female heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by former Japanese heavy metal band DESTROSE members Miho( bass,backing vocals) and Haruna(drums). After the breakup of DESTROSE , Miho decided to create her own band (her dream band). Miho invited Haruna to join her and together they found the rest of the members. LOVEBITES has successfully performed at various major international rock festivals. In the spring of 2018, LOVEBITES performed on the Japanese leg of the Warped Tour. In August 2018, they performed at Wacken Open Air (Germany), becoming the first Japanese all-female rock band to perform at the festival (over the entire history of this festival, since 1990). Also in August 2018 they performed on the main stage of Bloodstock Open Air (UK). In 2019, LOVEBITES performed at the Download Festival in Donington (UK) and Download Festival in Madrid (Spain). Their performance in Donington was named by the festival organizers and Metal Hammer magazine as one of the highlights of the festival! In the same year they performed at the Graspop Metal Meeting (Belgium) and the Summer Sonic Festival (Japan). Unfortunately, the Covid pandemic that began in 2020 prevents LOVEBITES from performing at festivals and forced a drastic reduction of concerts. LOVEBITES is a phenomenal band, all the ladies are talented musicians! They have recorded about 60 original songs and musical compositions for 2017-2023. 🐺Miho - band leader, bass, backing vocals (in August 2021 she left the band). 🐺Haruna - drums. 🐺Midori - guitars, backing vocals. 🐺Miyako (Mi-Ya)- guitars, piano, keyboards, backing vocals. 🐺Asami - lead vocals, piano. 🐺Fami - bass, backing vocals(since October 2022). 🐺Miho has been playing the piano since the age of 5. Later, when she was in school, Miho started playing the bass guitar. Great bassist! The fact that such a wonderful band appeared is, first of all, the merit of Miho. She came up with the idea to create a band and what kind of music she would play. It is a combination of 'old school' heavy metal (New Wave of British Heavy Metal) with other genres. 🐺Haruna started playing drums when she was in school. She also plays piano/keyboards. Haruna is the smallest (4 '9 ") , but appearances are deceiving. When Haruna sits down at the drums, this is the 'little BIG Engine'. She is one of the best drummers in Japan. 🐺Midori (blond hair) has been playing the piano since she was two years old and the electric organ since she was eight. She started studying guitar at the age of 20. Super guitarist, 'Crazy Shredder'. She surpasses many male guitarists in speed and technique of playing the guitar. Graduated from ESP/MI JAPAN (Osaka), GIT-DX department (superfast guitar department). ESP/MI JAPAN is an International Music Institute, headquartered in Hollywood, California, USA. 🐺Miyako (black hair) has been playing the piano since the age of three, received a classical education (piano) and wanted to pursue a career as a pianist. She has been playing the guitar since the age of 18. Super guitarist! They call her 'The Golden Touch' and she is a real musical genius. Miyako is the main composer of the band, she wrote about 50% of the music. * In terms of teamwork, guitar synchronization/harmonization, Midori and Miyako (M&M) are perhaps the best pair of guitarists in metal today. In a review of LOVEBITES, a famous music critic wrote about Midori and Miyako: “It’s a crime to have two guitarists of such a high level in one band!”😊 🐺Asami started with R&B and Soul music . She studied classical ballet for about 16 years (this is noticeable in her movements on stage, especially the movements of her hands). Started studying ballet at the age of two. After leaving school, Asami lived for some time in the US, where she came to study dance. Plays the piano. Asami wrote most of the lyrics of the band's songs. 🐺Fami plays bass, keyboards, guitar, writes songs, sings. She has released solo Album, which she dedicated to graduating from school. All songs LOVEBITES are written in English. Unlike other metal bands, LOVEBITES perform on stage in white dresses. White dresses are their style. A lot has happened. They lost their founder and bassist, two of them had babies, they went through a year-long search for a new bassist, and of course the plague meant they couldn't perform live concerts for awhile. This is from their first live performance in over two years, and they just came out firing on all cylinders. You won't regret it if you make a point of doing a lot of Lovebites reactions to get caught up!

Now that I've watched all your LOVEBITES reactions from Jan 20th, 2020, until now, I have to wonder, what took you so long to come back to them. On the last (second) video, you said "maybe tomorrow". I know, how what you meant by this, but now that you've ended your own hiatus (LOVEBITES had almost 2 years of a hiatus), maybe it's time for one or two songs of my (complete, except for instrumentals, former performances, documentations, interviews, extras) checklist in this comment section. It doesn't really matter, which one, because they are all (more than) good, there are no fillers or bad songs. I do encourage you to not again wait for one or two years for a new reaction. The vocalist, primary lyricist, is Asami nicknamed "The One and Only Voice" by her band mates as there is really no one else in music who sounds like her!! On guitar 🎸 (the dark-haired guitarist who had the primary solo in this song) is Miyako; guitar 🎸, piano 🎹 and keyboards, Miyako is the primary composer and arranger of Lovebites music 🎶!!! She is also a classically trained pianist from age 3!!!!! Miyako's nicknamed "the Golden Touch" by the band! The blonde guitarist 🎸 is Midori! Nicknamed "Crazy Shredder". Midori is also a competitive bodybuilder. On drums 🥁 is Haruna!!! An amazing drummer she is; all 4' 9" of her; and her nickname is "Little Big Engine." Haruna is also the co-founder of Lovebites. Welcome back to LOVEBITES 🤘🏼🐺🔥 Here some more information about the band: LOVEBITES are around since 2016 and released their first EP and album in 2017. At this point they have 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of live DVD/Blu-ray releases. LOVEBITES have already toured in Europe back in 2018/2019, including the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. In 2018 they also won the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for best new band. Then came Covid, their original bass player and founder Miho quit the band for personal reasons and two babies were born. After that LOVEBITES came back with new bassist and new song „Judgement Day“ in late 2022. New album with the same title came out in February 2023. LOVEBITES finished touring in Japan a couple of weeks ago. Earlier this year in march they played their comeback show. This was their first live gig since 2021 and first show with their new bassist Fami. There are 4 videos on their YT channel from this show, „Liar“ is one of them. Great reaction. Right, it is totally hard to find a spot to make pauses in their performances. The dark haired guitarist is Miyako nicknamed as Golden Touch in the band. She plays melodious lines with mix of various techniques. The blond guitarist is Midori nicknamed Crazy Shredder (I personally call her The Sonic Shredder). Yes, she is a strict shredder. We call the guitar duo M&M, and they have a greatest chemistry. Basically, who plays solos are the guitar duo. IMO, their sound structure is very much philharmonic. Every instrument strictly attached to its roll. The drums and the bass strictly play as supporting rhythm section, hence they only occasionally play short solos with few exceptions and for cover songs.

Of course music is everytime a matter of taste and own feelings ... So - by starting out writing my thoughts about Lovebites I'm a little bit torn. Technically they're all great but I'm missing a bit the (well - don't blame me for my thoughts) musicianship. Music is not only about speed, and being loud and perfect. It is (for me) about feelings. Fami does play a perfect bass, but she is playing speed bass. Before she let a tone fade out she will mostly hit 2 to 5 other ones. Asami has a technical great voice, but overall (once again for me) she doesn't stand out from many, many female metal singers. But we all have to admit this is a very talented and gifted field. Haruna is a machine - you may like it, but if you're too much of a machine you can be replaced by exactly this - a machine. The two guitarists are playing against each other who may is able to play the best solo. Normally you'll get 2 to 3 of them in each song. This brings me to another thought - Are they writing their own songs? And why is this important. Metal bands needs to be accepted. I read one complaint about why Lovebites have such a small amount of subscribers. Well, Metal heads like their bands writing their own songs. I read their lyrics are mostly written in Japanese first before translated in English ... maybe this is somehow not the best way (once again - just my opinion). Edit: Read a bit about them: So they write their own songs ... great - but it may is not fitting exactly in my direction. No big deal - I'm not the person who can speak for the world - only for myself :-) . Finally - the band is pretty young ... give them time. If I would have some wishes for them: Give your music more room - music is piano and fortissimo - not only the later one. Let your instruments rest from time to time and don't try to play as much tones as possible. This band has so much potential with all this talent there. And for the fans - don't blame me for my opinion ;-) ...
