I was honestly talking with my wife the other day about you and the documentary and we both were wondering how you been doing and hoping you were doing better. And now you proved her wish right, she wished that you were doing good and that even things got hard for a while you remembered the good parts and what Thunderdome meant to people. Awesome to hear you are doing good. I'd send ya a beer, but it wouldn't survive the trip from Sweden so I'll raise a glass for you instead.

I can explain how awesome THUNDERDOME was Rob. You know how much I loved it and it got me off the computer which was rare back then. I am more grateful for your friendship and kindness. I am glad you let me run THUNDERDOME during endwar. I will always cherish the memories of playing nerf with you. Thank you for all you have done.

The physical dome might be no more, but the thunder still growl in our hearts! We're always happy to hear news from you! You seem calm and relax 😁 glad to hear that you've been taking care of yourself. On our side, my partner and I are not as active as we used to be a few years ago in the nerf hobby. We kinda have to deal with 2 little humans now! 😅 But, even with that, we still give our help locally and participate to events when we can since it's one of the few things that really brought us closer thanks to the Thunderdome I built over here. While I'm on the subject, the Thunderdome Québec is no more since a long time (I only kept the door of the draw bridge and plan to hang it in my house, when I'll own one) The rest has been moved over a 100 miles away and is still in use by Arsenal Delta to this day. In a way, the essence of the Québec dome still lives on. (P.s. When I think of how your documentary affected my life, I can't help but to think of how many people were reached directly and indirectly by what you've done. I'll always be thankful for that. Love you Rob)

This was such a nice comment to read, thank you for sending it. I’m glad you’re doing well, congratulations on the little humans. It helps me to hear that the documentary helped people, I sacrificed my well-being for many years to complete it and a part of me hasn’t made peace with that cost yet. I rewatched Thunderdome when I uploaded it to the channel for the first time in 4 years. It upset me too bad before because of the memories of isolation and grinding away at a computer, slowly losing my mind. But I really enjoyed watching it this time, I reached a point where I needed to hear the message of TDome again and implement it in my life. I think it’s a good film, I’m glad it exists. Take care man, Rob Lehr

Sad to see thunder dome has gone forever but glad to see you doing good 😊... I also got into gardening recently, it's so good and rewarding seeing seeds grow to flower and a garden grow with all the insects and other wildlife. Keep pushing Rob your a legend 🙂

glad i made it out there before it was shut down (NvZ weekend). Thinking back on it, the handmade nature of it was part of why it was so special that you miss at paintball and other arenas

Getting crazy at tdome the nights of NvZ are some of the fondest nerf memories I’ll ever have. Glad to see you in a much better place. Bunkers or not, that back yard will forever be a holy ground in nerf history.

This is my first garden and I’m already pretty hooked. With my ADHD, PTSD, depression and anxiety it’s usually hard for me to get moving in the morning. Watering the garden gets me up and gives me the confidence to work on other chores and projects. It’s very calming and satisfying to work on it and then see it all grow. I’m definitely going to add a few more similar sections. I like the thin sections by the fence instead of a a giant rectangle in the middle of the yard Thank you for the comment :) -Rob

What happened to thunder ranch?
@ThunderdomeDoc2 жыл бұрын
Hello. I still own the land and occasionally use it to Deer hunt and look for Morel Mushrooms. About once a year we’ll shoot clay pigeons out there. I took down all but 2 out the CQB pallet houses but they’re nice to hunt out of. I hung burlap blankets around the top wood and it works pretty good for concealment. The first 2 years of Thunder Ranch were extremely productive for building and airsoft but eventually my life became too stressful to drive an hour to go play out there. I would like to use it more, it’s a really neat chunk of land. Thanks for the comment, -Rob
