Of course it is. Casio always wins against Yamaha in the IDR 4-5m ($300-350) range. Remember the CTK-7000 from 2010? That's the time when Casio starts getting serious and takes over the competition.

My family used to own a Casio keyboard way back when I was younger and I remember really enjoying playing on it. It's been at least 15 years since I've touched a piano/keyboard and I have been wanting to play again. So, I have been watching keyboard reviews on KZbin, trying to find one that's just right for me. I found your channel recently and I find your reviews/comparisons extremely helpful. Thanks! A new subscriber here.

It is true what you said about Yamaha brand having a halo in terms of pianos/keyboards. I find them always inferior in specs in every price range! While Casio, being the underdog always need to impress customers, thus giving out better specs with the lowest price possible. Cheers!

Interesting. Unexpectedly (for me) the Yamaha Grand piano was inferior to the Casio (I usually find I prefer Yamaha, but not here). The organ comparison didn't really show much as the Casio had a Tremolo/vibrato active, whereas the Yamaha didn't. Yamaha Sax definitely better, the Casio one was terrible; acoustic guitar, differences more narrow so hard to choose. Yamaha win in the actual quality of the rhythm arrangements but peripheral features to the rhythm patches had plus and minus aspects that, for me, negated the differences in these capabilities. Verdict: if. for me, I was limited in budget to choose between these two; if I was primarily interested in piano sound (although it's more than just the sound that matters), I'd pick the Casio, but if my purpose was for more widespread arranger qualities, it would be the Yamaha.

Yamaha's piano does sound compressed. Casio's sounds more wooden in a dry timber sort of way. Yamaha's improves quickly with some ctrl knob tweaking. Casio requires about 5 or 10 minutes of menu diving.

I can hear what you're saying Jeremy. Surprised ... I like the Casio Grand Piano a tad better. I'm not sure enough I prefer it enough to go with the Casio (plus I have a Kurzweil piano module I love to cover those sounds). I love the CDP-S350, but it's got to be even more difficult to navigate than the CT-X3000, which is cryptic enough, and it's for my 13 yr old boy to use too ... I think the PSR-E463 might be a better fit given user friendliness. I wish there was an affordable semi-weighted PSR-E463.

Dear Jeremy, thank you for your videos! I have a question 👋. In your opinion, comparing Casio WK 7600 vs Yamaha PSR EW310, which piano sound better to your ears? Thank you 😊
@WillsJazzLoft2 жыл бұрын
I think that one of the first things that should be understood is that the EW series replaced many of the mid-level priced DGX 200/300 series which were retired about four years ago. Casio very similarly trimmed their product lines in the WK lineup. I think the only WK boards still in production aside from the 7600 are the 7500 and the 6600. Just like the Yamaha EW series they are budget priced keyboards - but with serious arranger capabilities. Typically, one of the most prominent features in such keyboards is the auto accompaniment. It's a band in a box for the musician without a rhythm section. If you can't find a KZbin video that can compare the two, you may need to take a trip to a music store in your neighborhood

Hi i like your videos, can you suggest which one is better over PSR-E463 or CAsio ct x9000IN in terms of sound quality and Features, does casio support similar feature as groove for DJ or sampling
@ВикторБойко-н5г Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the review. I own a Casio CT-X3000. Now I will express my opinion which keyboard is better. The Yamaha PSR-E463 is better in terms of tone quality and overall sound. The Casio CT-X3000 is a bit inferior: the sound is a little plasticky and lacks soft bass in the overall mix. In terms of style and tone editing capabilities, the presence of phrase pads, many registration memories and other features, Casio far exceeds the PSR-E463. Conclusion. If you need a tool for learning or for playing music and getting to know musical styles without editing them, Yamaha is better. If you're looking for an inexpensive arranger, this is the CT-X3000. Casio has one point that you need to pay attention to before buying. After about a year of use, the keys begin to rustle and the further the stronger. This is the result of the lubricant on the keys wearing out and is not difficult to reapply. For me, this is not a problem, I do it in 1 hour, but for this you need to disassemble a little tool. For whom this is unacceptable Casio is not for you.
