I think in this day and age with how much you can tune the new bows to shoot arrows perfectly straight the need for helical is massively reduced, to the point where you can shoot arrows without any fletchings and they will fly just fine and are needed for the rare bad release or talking the bow. PS i believe that the more helical you have the more it will slow your arrow therefore hit lower.

Bows now are very tunable! It definitely makes your arrow setup a lot more forgiving!

I get the concept but coming from someone who tinkers/test the size of the vane and stiffness are variables to consider for your next vid

Very interesting idea! Is there any vanes that you would like to see specifically? Or just vary the types?

I would be curious if it makes a more noticable difference on fixed broadheads?

Interesting…🤔 do you have any recommendations?

Any of your standard 3 blade heads should do. NAP Thunderhead, Montec G5's, or Muzzy MX 3's or give the four blade Mx 4's a shot. Seems like most people are shooting 100 grain so start there?

I think you should tune and sight in for those arrows, retest and shoot whichever you feel more confident in. Good video though!

If we do a part 2 it is definitely something we will do!

I would think if you had a longer vein you might see a difference

We might have to give that a try as well!🤔

To me it seems like you guys are referring to an offset and not a helical, there is a difference in the 2 and alot of people are not aware of that
@MADDHunts4 ай бұрын
There is a difference! It’s actually a great point to bring up! An offset is a straight line, and a helical is curved… these arrows are fletched and curved at a 1 and 3 degree helical. It is a great point though! If we do a part 2 we will definitely specify better!
@ron45464 ай бұрын
These look like straight off set to me. Helical is twisted, there's a difference as stated above between 3 degrees straight off set and 3 degrees helical.
@MADDHunts4 ай бұрын
Definitely a difference in the two, it’s a lot harder to tell in just the video, however these are in fact fletched with a helical and are curved… next time we can specify better for ya!💪🔥

Actually, an offset fletching is set at a slight angle, usually around 4 degrees, down the arrow shaft. Offset is mostly used on crossbow bolts, but can still be used on regular arrows as well, depending on what the bow does to the arrow as far as what it may need for better flight stabilization.

I would say you just need to practice...your groups are not tight enough to get any kind of equipment testing at 60 yards

100% of what we’re doing is trying to make our own decisions and have fun testing it! These opinions are 100% our own opinions and we always need more practice!💪🏻💪🏻 Much appreciated!

There's nothing scientific about this video. It's just F'n around and finding out nothing.
