Yeah sort of, except it's passive so you add 2 at the start of your turn (except on the first players first turn, they add 1) until you reach 10. You also can't 'float' DON!!, you can only use it to pay for things immediately, but one thing you can do is attatch it to your characters to get a +1000 power buff during your turn for each, so even with like nothing in hand you can do something with your mana. The life system is kind of a more balanced prize system, where if you're behind and have taken more life, generally you'll have more cards in hand than your opponent
