how do you decide if you want to crush with or without focus?

Most of the time it's to do with the items stats. For the Jellicape it was easy. Prospecting etc isn't worth much at all but range runes are. If there is an item with multiple good stats then I won't focus. But only one good stat on the item then I will focus. Hope that makes sense.
