I know in old school Dofus, when you captured a mount, it equipped it automatically, but in the current version I don’t believe you have to have your mount slot empty. I’ve farmed wild DTs for kamas and I had a mount equipped, but I was using a pet. Ive captured multiple wild DTs before going back to the paddock. Btw this guide is great, love the detail, keep it up. 👌

good to know they have simplified mount breeding so much, compare to what it used to be. I am pretty sure chameleon are not random. You can only obtain through a mount that already have it. It used to come from cash shop a long time ago. Well the chance of passing on the stats are random. But you can't just breed it, and the stats magically appear.

As a note for new people reading this, Ankama has recently changed this. While it will be harder to transfer gene traits like chameleon, chameleon can now appear randomly in new turkeys.

That's awesome Lu, so glad I could help. If leveling the Boarhog is similar to regular pets, I hear that MP Runes are the best Kama-to-XP ratio for leveling them. I would compare the costs though of the MP Runes and the Pet food... I think they both give the same amount of XP, it's just the runes 'typically' run cheaper. Hope that helps.

You're welcome Nondairy - glad I could help. I believe it interacts with any of them you see spin. So if 2 or 3 spin, I think you roll the chance of an interaction from each one.

Fish is faster, but can be expensive when. Ily server For scroll selling, it would require 14.000 kamas for fish per 2-3 mountbabys, manger are way cheaper. If you have the time, use the mangers.

Thanks for that feedback RB. You're right, the manger route definitely sounds much cheaper. If speed is not needed, then mangers is probably the best option on Illyzaelle.

@@Benjamight If you only breed mount for scroll, all you need to do is get the energy to 100. more then that is a waste of time, as you only need to level it to level 5 once to keep breeding. If you are a hard core breeder 5 dark bamboo manger last me well over a year real life. And back then I have over 1, 000 mount breeding at any 1 time. Saying that you used to be able to breed mount 20 times before it goes sterile now only 5 so meh.

At 16:25 you say you need a slapper to move the "happiness meter" below -2000 to be able to adjust the stamina, I'm not greatly experienced in Mount breeding but I think it just has to be negative to increase the stamina. (Maybe you just let it out for difficulty or maybe you just didn't know. In the last case, could save people some time) I tend to bring my mounts from positive to -700 so I can do maturity and stamina at the same time. (Same works for love)

Hi Rin - thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it. As for which items to use... I have not reviewed all the breeding gear (I know just enough to be dangerous...lol). I'd say if you're trying to move the bars fast and you're going to stand there interacting with the mounts - I would get whatever gives the highest efficiency... if you plan to just leave the mounts in there for a while and go do other things or check back in a few days, I would try to get something less efficient. That would save you some money, and hopefully keep from moving the bar "too far" in the wrong direction if you don't get back to them in time. I hope that helps. Best of luck!

You're very welcome Azoz. As for your question, you have to go back to the paddock that had your pregnant mount in it and 'access' it (click the gate). Bringing up the paddock inventory screen is how you accept the babies from the pregnant mount... if you go past 7 days after the mount has completed her term without accessing the paddock, the babies die. If I buy a mount certificate from the market, it says when its level 1 and 0/5 mating that it is infertile. If I make them full happiness, love, maturity, level 5 all that, will they be fertile?

Hi Dyon - I believe you are correct, although I think Maturity is the only stat that has to be completely full... Love and Happiness I think just have to be past the little bar you see on their meters - but you have the right idea.

Fun Trick: As long as your balance meter is leaning more towards angry or more towards happy, you can raise stamina/love while it is in a balance state as long as the number leans more one way or another. Also as a new mount update: It will be harder to transfer gene traits with mounts (like chameleon) but traits will be more likely to sprout up naturally and chameleon is now one of these natural traits. :)

Hi El. I'm not sure that would work either, but I doubt it. There is a formula that is used when contributing XP to a mount... even though you may set your contribution to 90%, that just means you are giving up 90% of your personal XP as a piece to that formula. How much of that 90% actually GOES to the mount is dependent on the level gap between you and the mount. So, the lower the gap between you and the mount, the more of the 90% XP will be transferred. If you go to Dofus Wiki and look up dragoturkeys, I believe you'll find the formula on there. I actually even displayed it in one of my Quest to 200 videos, but I can't recall which one. Anyways, I hope that helps.

Hello Danyar - you have to get the mount to the 'Mature' state first, then you'll be able to mount it. Follow the process in this video, and it will walk you right through the process. It's a bit of work, but pretty easy to follow.

I did a lot of old school breeding in the day so I know quite a bit even though I am getting hang of the new mechanics. I recommend the Dofus wiki for the color combos for breeding. However if you start off with an Almond, Ginger and Gold, you should be able to start breeding every color DT by following the chart. It may take you a few tries to get the right colors but you can keep breeding the ones you do get. Any steril ones you can either try to sell or turn in for scrolls and sell those to fund your breeding. It will be a slow process but if you have enough kamas's for equipment you can set up shop in each of the public paddocks and have 15 Turks getting stats at a time. If you also have some extra Kamas you can pick up some other colored DT to move you along the color chart. It will be a slow burning achievement but with time you can get there. Honestly you don't even need to capture a mount as long as you can buy them. I would recommend staying away from the Wild ones in shop and just getting the normal Almond/Ginger/Gold ones and start there. You can start with one of each (like two females and one male) but to maximize and if you have the Kamas try getting 2 each so you have a male and female of each color and can mix and match. Plus you speed up the odds of completing the challenge. Hope this helps!

Hi Exozero... if you caught and are using a 'Wild' mount, it will stay that way. Only babies born in a paddock won't have the Wild state. You can still breed with the wild mounts, but the male ones run off after each breed...lol.

Hi nouamane - If I remember correctly, you can't. If a dragoturkey is 'Wild'... the Male ones will run off after they have made a Female dragoturkey pregnant. The Females ones I think will stay after it has it's babies... but I can't recall. Maybe they run off after the babies are born... I really can't remember.

I tried capturing dragoturkey and it always says it is wild dragoturkey and it is not mountable and even when I'm trying to feed it with fish it say you cannot feed it.. Can you please help how do I capture normal dragoturkey or make a wild dragoturkey not wild.
