We are retired and in our 60's and lost our little Shih-Tzu of 10 1/2 years this past year. Seeing Bentley and Albert just makes my day! I've heard a plain, scrambled egg is good for a delicate tummy. My friend's vet told her to feed a diet of lean ground beef and rice when her Bichon was having tummy issues. I'm sure you'll get as many responses from as many vets as you ask. I find the whole dog diet/species appropriate diets/daily caloric intake all a bit confusing.

I love your videos, AtHome With Nikki, but you are not feeding your dogs a complete diet. As a dog nutritionist, your dogs need more in their diet. A raw, homemade diet is a wonderful thing, but a dog is a facultative carnivore, and you should not cook your meats. Also, you are lacking liver and other offal (secreting organs besides liver) and bone, and fish including sardines, and a variety including beef, and perhaps lamb, goat, @t also need bone. Eggs including shell is also great. You are on the right track but need more as far as a homemade diet goes. You would be better off buying a pre-made raw diet than what you are doing. There are Facebook groups out there that are very helpful- The Raw Feeding Community is a great resource! Good luck!
