A bunch of dog lovers recently congregated at a convention center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and groomed their pets to resemble everything except canines. We saw a dinosaur, that orange falcon thing from Harry Potter, Rainbow Brite, Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh, and even a hippie. Yes, it's a bit ridiculous, and participation in an event like this is a pit stop on the road to Loserville. But c'mon-it's pretty adorable. Our favorite was the dinosaur (aka poodle) named Koby. His owner told us how great the breed's hair is for this sort of competition because it sticks straight out, making it easy to sculpt. Turns out they were right! Koby was crowned the winner and went home with a cash prize, an enormous trophy, and eternal glory.

How the hell can anyone find this cruel?? Why dont you wish your death threats upon people who ACTUALLY abuse animals?! These dogs are well fed, loved like family, spoiled fucking rotten and treated better than 60% of the worlds human population. There are real animal cruelty cases all over the world, these dogs are crazy lucky for having the life they have!! The dye is also non toxic so I really dont see what the problem is. Sure they have to stay put for a couple hours while the owners groom them, but Id take that any day over being fucking abused 24/7, skinned alive and eventually eaten in some countries. Fuck people, develop a brain already.

the dogs are obviously very healthy, and are loved and spoiled by their owners. They obviously aren't putting up a fight as they're groomed. They're wagging their tails for pete's sake. Who cares if they get haircuts and outfits like this once in a while? They are cherished and part of a family, with love, food, and shelter.

I'm sure these are animal lovers that are going out of the way to make sure they're using non-toxic products in the process, because I've seen people like this be better parents to their dog than other parents are to their own human children, but that doesn't mean the end result isn't ultra tacky and ridiculous. I got here hoping to find clips from a dog grooming show in Japan, because from the pictures I saw online, the designs and execution are far more sensible and are even an enhancement over the dog's natural look over there... But this looks awful.

Grooming is for whatever the customer wants. All color dyes are soo much safer than what they sell to humans. Depending on the brand color washes out completely between 2 days-1week on dogs without ever ruining the dog's coat.

@@MontanaEthicalHackers Torture would be not grooming them at all and letting them turn into walking balls of matted fur like so many dog owners do. Poodles have to be groomed to be healthy. It makes no difference to a dog whether the groomer goes with a traditional cut or does something creative. Dogs don't care. All he knows is that he's getting extra attention and pets from the people around him. These are all happy, healthy dogs having a good time with their people.

LOL This is SO cute! I love watching Creative Dog Grooming shows! And to all the haters: Seriously, get a life! No need for such harsh posts. The products used are NON-toxic! If you are seriously concerned about the well-being of pets, why don't you do something TRULY meaningful and either ADOPT a pet from a shelter, or why not fight AGAINST puppymills and backyard breeders?! Those are the truly dangerous dog issues --- NOT grooming shows! This video is fun! Thanks for sharing!

Geez these comments are harsh and really unnessecary. The products used are non-toxic and wash out in a couple baths. People dye their hair and yet we don't call it inhumane and the chemicals in it are way more damaging. Plus these dogs are obviously well cared for and have experience being on a grooming table for long periods. And no respectable creative groomer grooms an unwilling dog. Just some fun facts for you!
