So true! But a good owner will do it. I had to get one of our dogs (a rescue Malamute with some unknown % of wolf in him) to the vet, and I straight up volunteered to be at the "biting end" of him when he was being put under. The lovely huge f¥(ker is strong, but he likes me, and getting him treated for his bloat was more important than avoiding a bite. It was just easier to get him to calm down enough with me there. Yes, I did still get bitten. My pup survived, so IDGAF.

@@samgeorge1452 even more reason to keep an eye on the dog. If he's a runner he needs careful watch. I guess the owner wasn't home to know the dog was hanging for 2 hours out the window. Giving the benefit of doubt.

Grown-ups at work , kids at school. This actually happened to my daughter. The dog was hanging out the second story window. The neighbor is the pet sitter and had a key. He doesn't work the same shift and ran over to rescue the dog from inside. If you have dogs, don't leave windows cracked open when you go to work.

with how quickly the day went from light to dark he was likely at work ain't certain the dog is a runner, could easily also be a chaser that saw something and went for it before his brain caught up with the fact there was an obstacle that could hurt him (though pet owner things you learn over the course of having pets, they are twice as smart and thrice as dumb as you think they can be)

Most vets here in the u.s. are more about the money but ive found one that comes right to my house to give my cat his shots ect. He didnt even feel it . Abd sge charged me 27 dollrs less tgan hus regular vet .. im thrilled

Amputating is a huge surgery and is always better to not operate or remove limbs unless necessary. There may had been a reason the vet didn't remove it and instead let if fuse like that, or perhaps the dog was found/rescued with the leg already like that from an accident.
