Thankyou from the bottom of my heart ❤ I'm a big dog lover 🐾🐶 Sweet Buttons is blessed to have you living close by. Shame on that Man leaving this on You. YES, he most definitely should have texted or gotten ahold of You.

I tried to get her to come outside, but she wouldn't. She's also overweight, likely because he rarely takes her for walks, so I couldn't carry her. He said she doesn't have long to live and the vet gave him pain meds for her. He is trying to sell his land and is going to move to Vegas. Hopefully he gets a place with a yard and a good air conditioner for her.

She is likely to hot and she likely has arthritis as she's an old girl. Thankyou for everything you have done and stand for You are so kind and caring, sorry this happened to You, its not fair. 🤔😔 sounds like he shot you a lie, five hours is way to long and he knows it. Buttons deserves better! 🐾🐶💙💟

Every state is different, but dogs are considered property and typically all one needs to provide is shelter, water and food. So in most cases there is nothing they can do if you do call animal control. You'd have to check with them or your states laws. Here's the catch though. Like I said they are considered property so if the aco brought the man up on charges and the man does not give up the rights of ownership of the dog, the dog then has to stay in the municipal pound until the court case is over... and that can take years. This dog is old and would surely die in the pound. Best case scenario he gives up rights and the dog becomes adoptable... It's not easy to adopt out an older dog who has med issues. Again she'd probably live out her life in a shelter. My advice is, if you see the guys car gone for any period of time or if he asks you to keep an eye on him, take the dog to your house. Put a slip lead over her head and tell her cmon, lets go and put pressure on the leash if she wont move. Dont take no for an answer. If the dog finds she's more comfortable at your house, she'll be more willing to go. Nsaids are anti inflammatories so yeah, probably arthritis. but still, it is what it is. I wouldn't focus on whether the guy is all there or not. Just think about what's best for the dog. Sometimes you can convince people that they are not doing right by the dog and they will give up the dog. But he's an old man and she's probably all he has. Hope that was helpful.

Yes I agree, Thankyou so very much for your advice. It really is about the Dog right now and her comfort in her senior years. She really is likely the only thing he has. I wouldn't want her last years spending them locked up in a pound. Thankyou

keep an eye on it next time he does this call the animal control officer. then when they seize the dog, GET OUT OF THERE or he will come after you, move your trailer.

Well, to be 💯 honest with You, i would lose my Sh!t and my mind just like you are. Awe this poor sweet senior girl doesn't deserve to be left five minutes with no cool air or water inside a metal tin. Poor Buttons is so lucky to have You love her and to be a voice for her. Breaks my dang heart when people think this is Okay, it really isn't. He should have been concerned if he knew he was gonna be longer but he left sad Buttons all on You, I'm very sorry he did this She deserves to live the remaining of her life Happy and smelling grass and cool air with cold water. Not like this 😢 Thankyou for your love and care and concern for her, You are Amazing! 🐾💙🐶

He spends a lot of time in Vegas, but whenever he comes out here I watch to see if he has her with him, then when he leaves I check to make sure he doesn't leave her in the trailer alone.

@@TimsOutpost Awe thats very kind of You to watch to see if he leaves her. This shouldn't have to be a burden on You and your heart, I'm so very sorry people are selfish like this. And it isn't the money like you said, he can afford to go into a place where he's taken care of. He just doesn't want to or think he needs to yet, but this is a sure sign that he does if he's not taking good care of Buttons. You may need to speak with some one as to what you're supposed to do when this man asks you for favors and he ends up taking advantage of you and leaving Buttons in poor conditions. Anyhow Take good care of yourself and thankyou for being so kind and loving to Buttons. I hope everything works out for her sake. Have a great day 💙🐶🐾💕
