I love your videos. My neighbors have a Dogo that I love. I call him my grand-dog. Because of your collar review, we bought him a nylon collar like Zeuss’. The color is black with blue trim. Love your dogs!

And I can see in this video how the collar will look... lovely. It will be delivered Friday. Can’t wait.

Omg! On Saturday I was taking my dog to training and another dog (medium size poodle) got loose from his leash and came at my dogo. My dogo did not react until the other dog launched at him. Everyone was trying to grab my dog and one of the males (all thought I had my dog) hit my dog on the face and was kicking him!! It was horrible. Thanks be to God I have watched your videos Nicole and learn soooooo much and I'm training my dogo. I had control of him and he was calm after I got him off the other dog. But POEPLE are just ignorant! They started to point at my dog and calling him aggressive, dangerous, and many more words. I was so upset. I scream out in the middle of the street letting everyone know my dog was next to me, on a leash, and did not go near the other dog. I was upset because of the way everyone decided to look at him and how he was hit. I told them don't ever touch my dog learn about the type of dog you have and get him trained don't treat my dog like this just because of the way he looks! Omg I was so mad. So upset. I spoke to the trainer and he said agreed that some people know their dogs are aggressive towards other dogs and do nothing about it. Thank you so much Nicole for educating us! It truly makes a huge difference! Happy Easter!

My rescue dogo boy is 4 or 5 years old,135 lbs, and can not get enough of the dog park! It took me over a year to even attempt the outing, because like you said, you never know what happened to a rescued dog in their past. With his size I know he would destroy any dog that presented a big enough threat, and with that in mind constantly, I don't ever turn my back on him at the dog park. I'm constantly attentive to his body language, and I'm happy to report that up to this point, there has not been the slightest hint of an issue. He's become a popular face at the park, even the owners who were the most wary of his size in the beginning can't help but remark at what a mellow, happy sweet dude he is. I will continue to keep my eyes glued to him during our dog park outings, and finding great relief to have a place where he can run around and socialize off leash

I agree with you. And I also experienced that the owners come in without asking whether it is ok, despite it is a written rule at parks, as far as I know (in my country) My dogo is a rescued one, and even if he is mainly not interested in dogs for more than a sniff, he doesn't like to be interrupted when we play. And he still needs more rehab and socalizing, which is not visible, because he is a calm and smart one. But, I want him to have the opportunities to be unleashed in a safe place. I am thinking of putting a sign on the gates while we are inside... You might have already done a video about walking in the forest and cases when other dogs are unleashed. If not, I would be interested in some of your experiences.
@DogoArgentinoUSA3 жыл бұрын
I always walk my dogs unleashed in the forest. And it is always a risk. However I do not think it is good to keep a dog on a leash all the time for all of its days. That’s just my opinion. I believe freedom for all creatures is necessary for their sanity and well-being.

What a tragedy! A fearful person woth a gun is as bad as a fearful dog - they are going to strike out when scared. Dogos are a bad idea at a dog park, whatever happens will be their fault just because of the way they look. I have 2 Dogos and a cane corso and never take them to a dog park. Not worth the risk of something happening.

I wonder how long this gun saga will continue in usa. So many countries have band the guns and they live in peace and not horror. So the argument of owning a gun for protection is worthless. More logical arguments is that the most who has a gun needs to compensate something and secondly it brings huge amount of money to the industry which will keep the gun business alive. It's sounds so crazy that someone goes out with his dog to the park with the gun.

I think German Shepherds and dogos hate each other, my neighbour has a nice beautiful looking German shepherd male, and unfortunately they got into a fight and obviously got separated before anything major, and the owner started to threaten me for having a hunting breed in the colony, until I told him its also stupid decision to have a shepherd with no sheeps, and here we are, this owner was intelligent enough to understand my sarcasm, most of them don't :)

Mine absolutely HATE our neighbors’ GSD even though they’ve never interacted. They basically feel the same about Dutch and Belgian shepherds as well!

I Dogo Argentino is a significantly more driven dog than a boxer. I think they do best with a large property that is fenced in an extensive daily exercise I do not think they are the best choice as an apartment dog

This is horrible. At the same time we know people carry fire arms everywhere. I just can't get it out my head. why bring a gun to a dog park?? 🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶..

@larrylegend61243 жыл бұрын
The answer to your question is simple...it's called the second amendment. People should be carrying firearms everywhere, as it would encourage a polite society and reduce crime. If this guy knew that someone else was carrying at that dog park, he wouldn't have even pulled his gun, knowing that he'd have other guns pointed at him as soon as he did. With that being said, discharging a firearm to break up a dog fight in public, I disagree with 100%.

My dogo is the same way. He doesn't pay attention to anything until it becomes an imetiate threat. And he is still well under control. But I will never take him into a dog park and knowingly put him into a dangerous situation. Dogs already try to attack him on a regular. Thank you for your content!

@@DogoArgentinoUSA yeah if someone shot my dog there would be two murders at the dog park that day 😂 but in all seriousness I feel my dogo is much more well trained and emotionally stable because I don't force him to be in stressful situations. And from that he had learned to trust my judgement and leadership in general and when we do end up in bad situations. ❤️

I have a deaf Dogo that I got from a bad breeder. He was going to put the dog down because of his deafness and a friend of mine put him in touch with me because I have experience with deaf dogs. I brought Chong home at 7 weeks old. I would never ever consider taking him or any of my other for dogs to a dog park. I take Chong on at least 3 Mile walks every day weather permitting. I live in the country so I don't run into other dogs thankfully but when he sees another dog he just stands there with me and he doesn't bark or growl at all. He looks to me for my reaction to other dog and takes his cues from my body language. He loves people to death and is so happy to meet a new person. He is a little over a year now and and gets along with my dogs and the neighbors dogs. We arrange play dates with our dogs because she has more land fenced-in then I do. I do not understand the logic of taking any dog no matter what size to a dog park because it's just an accident waiting to happen and I would never put my dog in that type of situation.

I always say that my Dogo is “allergic to growling”. She is fine with other dogs as long as they don’t growl at her. Trying to socialize her has been difficult , to say the least. She is highly perceptive of another dog’s energy. She does best with soft or submissive dogs. I was never interested in dog psychology until I owned a Dogo. You never know what you will encounter at a dog park. A horrible tragedy.

These DAs don’t tolerate hostile displays from other dogs. Their fighting dog heritage from the Fighting Dog of Córdoba is part of them. My dogs are chill but ready to throw down if challenged. They don’t bother with little dogs but big dogs are a different story

interesting,, good video thanks. again a great insight yet tragic at the same time. i do take my dog, AM bulldog i suspect is dogo argentino more and more each today.11mnth now. i am becoming very aware of how quick a situation could change. yes he is very happy to play with any bitch but yes other male dogs seem to see him as a threat and yet he is still calm and playful. he easily walked down and flipped a bigger xl bully with ease that kept coming back to try hump my boy constantly but playfully he remained calm and tolerant all the time and he did flip the dominant husky x akita that would always stand over my boy asserting his authority untill max playfully tumbled him,they havent met since and against my neighbours malinois twice her dog has shown aggression towards max and both times my boy was calm untill he said no more and shown he wasnt going to accept this aggression and produced armageddon, so i take your comments on dog parks very seriously here thank you.i just want to socialise as much as possible...what are thoughts on wether i would be wise to run my dog with a mountain bike for some excersize? he can run around my park in a 30 to 40 seconds when i let him off at 2 or 3 am when chances are no one is around. problem is a cannot garauntee this and he is so fast to clear this park i would have no chance to catch ,he is learning heel so can loose leash walk him somewhat (amazing lol) and return but only if he chooses if off leash..is cycling a good idea? i have done it with my old siberian cross malamute but max is heavier,just wondering what your take is..i know concrete would need to be avoided as much as possible with max also tho..thanks in advance (edit,,its fine,i purchased a bike and all was well.longer walk that usual alot of on grass running and pulling and lovely controlled calm from him.i think this may just help add another deterant from eyeballing other dogs and also a great way to nail his left right command😁,,fast asleep now hahaha).
