I know this is an old comment but I'm sorry for your loss. I believe animals have souls. Your furry angel is with you in spirit, and you will see your pet again someday. Losing a beloved pet is not something that you really ever "get over" but I hope that your heart has healed and that the pain isn't so intense now.

I'm just seeing this a few years later. I just lost my dog 3 weeks ago. He got out of my fenced yard and was run over by a car. Can't believe he's gone 💔 A pastor helped bury him the same night in my backyard. Feel like I could've been a better dog momma. Guess it's guilty thinking I could've done more to protect him. Miss him so much. Don't take your fur baby for granted. I feel like I did.

With Jessie, I think the touching the side was a nervous guesture. Different horses have their tics, but I've met some who use a sharp twist of the head towards their side (and tail swishing, pawing) when they're anxious or impatient, especially when held or tied. (If they're not just going after a fly.) Very courageous of Jesse to stick with her until they could both get themselves out of there.

That’s why it’s a smart idea to have a gun when walking in the wilderness. When I was younger I close encounter with a bear in the woods and now I don’t go out without a vehicle or gun. Just a gunshot in the air could scare an animal like that away.

What do you expect, you're intruding onto the Bears habitat, it's akin to a Bear coming near your home... people should respect wildlife. .
@bobyboberson58084 жыл бұрын
Carol Snook I never said that I don’t respect wildlife. I try my best to avoid them and if I spot one I make sure to leave the area. I’m just saying that having a weapon or close by vehicle you can use to quickly escape can save your life. It’s always good to have a backup plan

@@jkromah89 yeah well it doesn't change the fact that sometimes they don't leave you alone and you're left with no other. I don't have high hopes for you if you're attacked if I'm going to be honest with you

@@carolsnook4659 spare us the hippy talk. It doesn't matter much you respect nature, people will still occasionally get hurt. You think these kids got attacked because they didn't respect wildlife? Ha! If you get charged by a moose let me know if telling it you respect it works. You'll probably be needing to get rushed to the hospital before you finish talking. Having a respect for nature can lower the risk, it'll never eliminate the possibility, because if an animal chooses to attack, it's not going to care how you feel and only an idiot isn't going to do what it takes to defend themselves. So like it or not, it is a smart move to have some sort of weapon. Better to have it and never need it than to need it and not have it. Just common sense if you go venturing into the woods because you just don't know what could happen

I was wondering why they were telling us about a dead horse-but after the story was told-I thought, Prehaps her original horse would have bolted & left her little owner child there to defend for herself….& God knew that-so took her little horse back to heaven, KNOWING that her sister would give her horse to her-& Perhaps God KNEW the other horse would KNOW EXACTLY what to do…..(because God Our Creator CAN SEE AHEAD of time, what is about to happen-LONG BEFORE it has happened)…. A Truly Special Story x

@@anthonyhutchins2300 If the owner knew that there were wild animals on the trail that could be potentially dangerous why would she take the little girl and the dog there to hike? take them to a safer place like around their house/neighborhood or a public park. Dont place people or pets in dangerous situations in the first place, thats why I called it "owner negligence" because she knew the trail had dangerous animals but still decided to take the little girl and dog there.

@@WiseSilverWolf Deer aren't considered to be a "dangerous" animal. I grew up on a farm and often played in the woods. We also went hunting up in the mountains of Eastern Oregon every year, staring since the day we could walk. We were never in fear of wild animals. A little common sense and there is no need for fear. There is more to be feared in a public park these days than hiking in the woods. Nothing this grandmother did was "negligent". Thinking to shake the bottle of soda and to then spray it at the dear was actually quite a good idea, especially when in the heat of the moment. She did everything right. Fought the deer off her dog, ran to get help for the dog and then calling ahead as she drove her to the Vet.
