I wish I could love this video a zillion times ! Animals know who to trust !! I’m sooo glad that his collar wasn’t embedded !! Once Rocky realized you were there to save him and that heavy chain came off him he returned to his youth of playing !! Now find who did this to this sweetheart of a dog and tie them up so they know what’s like to be tortured !! No water bowl no food no bedding,I hope the owner of this poor dog catch’s a neglect and other charges !! Who leaves an poor animal to fen for themselves with a 75 pound chain around their neck !! I hope they got charged with animal abuse because they really should also they should never ever be allowed to own another pet ever !! I would love to see an update on this precious guy !!

When he hears "sit" his tail instantly started wagging. Maybe in the past he was told to sit before being fed, and recognized the word as being familiar and safe. I love that moment when they realize Eldad is safe, it's always the best

Money Sadly, the animal surrender fee is $25.00 in LA i guess that's too much for people to pay

Why? In the UK you just go and take any animal to the RSPCA, PDSA and loads of other animal charities no fee to hand them over. You do have to pay when you want to re-home a animal, but that is only after you pass the home test. But, even with all that there are people who are so stupid and thoughtless that they will starve and keep a animal cooped up.

I love how these dogs realize that you're not there to hurt them but help them and they instantly trust you. They can feel all the love you have for them, dogs are just instinctive like that. Thanks for saving them and giving them a second chance. Wish there was more people out there like you.

There are, people like you who do care, you know how to treat animals and people too. I can't be there saving them but I do the best I can with what I hav,e which is a small back account and a donation every month, not much but enough to help with the bills. Rocky is why we are here, to have some kind creature to love who will love us in return.

UltraGoldCoin Well, yes and no. Humans and dogs are the only animals in the world that are born with a left-facing gaze. When you look to the left, you see the right-hand side of a person's face, which is also the side of a person's face that more accurately shows emotion. Because dogs evolved alongside humans for 20,000 years, they've learned to read human facial expressions from birth. Just like a human baby, they need exposure to facial expressions to learn what they mean, but they do have the ability to read human body language. They may even be able to pick up on micro-expressions we show on our faces unconsciously, like a twitch in the lip, or eye-darting, etc. In a way, that is what a person's aura is. It's things your subconscious brain notices about people's body language, tone of voice, etc to give you an instinctual feeling about what kind of person that is. Dogs can do the same thing and it's really cool :)

it could also be that the dog recognized the softer, calmer tone of his voice. Dog's will typically react positively to someone who's greeting them calmly. Once you take an aggressive tone they won't go near you.

I’m so glad you don’t make the music that loud anymore! I like to hear how you convince the dogs your there to help and not the music. I started supporting your channel once I heard the first video with very little music. You used it more for drama. I can appreciate that. I have been a donating member for almost two years now. Imagine the dog getting put in the back yard, then he wants In and no one is there, he waits for months and nobody comes, he is trying to get a look inside but he doesn't see or smell anyone, finally Eldad comes and cheers him up, Eldad leaves for a bit, rocky thinks he will be gone forever until he finally came back, think about it, I cried.

When Eldad said “Sit” and the dog reacted, it reminded me of another one of Hope for Paws where Eldad was chasing a dog through a wooded area. It was a big area and the situation look pretty hopeless but Eldad suddenly yelled “Sit” … the little dog immediately stopped in his tracks, sat down and the chase was over! A happy ending! 🇨🇦

My dad once saw a man throw 4 dogs outside onto a bridge and tried to help them. They kept jumping out and when he thought he had them all he took them to my grandma's house. What he didn't know was someone had called the police on him saying he had thrown out one of the dogs.... he didn't..... he had jumped out when my dad had gotten in and was left behind. Later that day a warrent was out for his arrest. My mother had gotten everything straightened out eventually but he almost was arrested for helping these puppies... To this day our beloved dog, Bo, has seemed to choose a favorite... ;)

I can only think of you as amazing! What a wonderful fellow Rocky was. Even if the home owners had been evicted, I think they still ought to be prosecuted for leaving him like that, and the neglect he endured before that. The chain didn't get that tight in a week or two. THANK YOU!!!

I can't help it, but when Eldad said "sit, good boy" to Rocky it felt as if something snapped inside his head and he remembered those words from the times somebody cared for him. Afterwards he became so happy and jumped like crazy. Love for Rocky and all other dogs that were rescued or need to be rescued. ❤❤❤

Lesson learned: don't rescue without treats! Thank God it was out of fear and not actual 'rage', even a dog that young can do serious damage. I'm so glad you were able to get that nasty chain off his neck. He's such a sweet boy and deserves a chance. You're amazing. Also, great job not panicking when he got you. It's really hard to stay calm and not back off when you're bit. Nicely handled, sometimes there's not a lot you can do to fully prevent getting bitten. Been there, done that.

Miscommunication is the reason why many strays get labeled as "dangerous". It's no different with people. When two humans don't speak the same language, that's when problems begin. It's the same with dogs. Dogs all speak the same language, but humans expect them to understand OUR language. Eldad is able to put these dogs at ease because he speaks "dog" fluently. Once they know he's "one of them", they let go of their fears and become themselves again...friendly and loving. Truly amazing....
