Hi just wondering when you take the semen out of the fridge do you have to wait until it is room temperature or can you take it out of the fridge and put it straight into the female?

Put it right in, you want it to "wake up" where it needs to start swimming. Only thing you are losing is motility time by letting it sit and warm up to room temp, outside the female.

Is there a recommended temperature of semen before ai to prevent shock to the semen? and if so what is the preferred method to achieving that temperature? For example going from the 5 degrees, right out the fridge to immediate insemination? I am taking the natural temperature of the female internally into consideration and I would think going from fridge temperature to instant ai would be an issue. since thats 5 degrees/c to a female with an average internal temperature of 101 degrees/f. would this be a room temperature process or flashes of warm water? Or.... is the instant rising warmth not an issue with semen vs the known destruction that happens when its fast chill points? I apologize for the lengthy and possibly confusing question. I worded it as best i could. I had my own theory but I want to make sure my assumptions are good decisions based on your successful experience... you dont have to answer but if you do id appreciate it, i like making sure i haven't lost my marbles lol

I have the same question about the re warming process as well do u just Ai and let the internal temp of the dog warm it up or do u pee warm it first??

I understand that its just body temperature but i wanted to be exact, im sure a degree under is fine but over would be an issue, no different than having a fever. dogs are 101 to 102.5 degrees. some recommend warming it up with your own body temperature and humans are almost two degree cool in body temperature not to mention testicles are about two degrees Celsius lower in temperature than the rest of your body. So Im thinking room temperature having it close to your body likely under an arm pit if you are not using a specific device to reach that temp like a bottle warmer. I just would make sure its not from fridge to warming method but from fridge to room temp to slowly warming to the target. I was more so asking that question to see if there were specific parameters documented that result in shock when going from being chilled. to target temp @@juniorserrano90

I put the sperm in the extender in the fridge overnight I checked it the next day and it had like white chunky stuff in it. is that normal?
