As an actual casual BG-player, neither the battlepass nor the tokens for rerolls have affected me the slightest. I play it on my phone every now and then to pass my time and I don't try to push any MMR that I don't even know how it affects me. And I think there's a lot of casuals like me...

I don’t understand how dog can justify what he said about the new reroll hero system. He said that the battle pass had a bigger impact, which is essentially 2 free hero rerolls. How is adding another 4 rerolls to that not completely unfair and crossing so many lines? What’s next? Spend money to start the game with 4 extra gold too?

Because there's diminishing returns basically. Going from 2 to 4 isn't huge just because of the amount of heroes, but because it makes the chance of getting nothing good almost non-existant. Once you're basically guaranteed at least 1 good hero, 4 rerolls or 400 rerolls don't affect your winrate that much, so it has a lot less impact. He already said that both things are bad anyway, this one just isn't as impactful as the battle pass giving you 4 heroes.

@saevin7th That assumes one thing: That blizzard is not going to gatekeep the good heroes behind the rerolls. Which they are incentivised to do. We will have to see if on average the win rate of the heroes increases after rerolling more often than not. Even so I don't think this is as minor of an impact as he thinks. Sure you could argue it's less impact because with just a selection of 4 you don't have to play a bad hero. But now with a selection of 8, not only do you not have to play a bad hero, your chances of getting the giga nuts heroes are higher. Galiwix and elementals for example. (Which I know they just banned).

Dog playing in a lobby of all content creators. Casually mentions they're all 6 to 8k.... I quit every game that doesn't have an interesting hero, taking 8th in half my games, and I'm at 6400. Those content creators must not be very good.
