Thank you for the wonderful comments! I had also recut Jay and Silent Bob strike back but unfortunately that one was copyrighted so I could only share that one on his website in his Smithstonian screening room. I love editing and have done several recuts of many different films.

I wish I knew. I even limited the amount of ads people run into while watching the whole movie. I'm grateful it's gotten as many views as it has but was expecting it to be in the 10,000s by now.

I’ll tell you why there’s not more views. Every two minutes the movie is cut off by commercials. I would understand if it was every 20 minutes but it’s insanity.

@@shannonlandes4578 Wow, you are right! I had KZbin place ads where they wanted to, but did not realize it was every 3 or so minutes. I just went through and fixed it so that ads are spaced out so it does not interrupt the viewing experience so much, thank you for bringing this to my attention! I hope it flows better now.

A co-worker of mine has been bm'ing me into watching this. I already knew it was a cult classic, but hadn't bothered looking it up. I'm starstruck with the writing and humor, and will absolutely be watching more Jay and Silent Bob movies. I feel a bit left out having just found this now, but glad to have been recommended it at all by people I know. Thank you for your efforts in editing, you've done a fantastic job.

Pros: more George Carlin! The scene of Bethany in the abortion clinic counciling a pregnant teen is a nice way to flesh out her backstory which makes logical sense as a way to get the exposition through a real world situation. The "I don't want to be here" narration. I like the concept of Sarendipity and Azreal being siblings. Cons: with the backstory of Sarendipity and Azreal being "created" the idea that the muses are older than time and created god and are thus the most powerful beings in the universe isn't as possible here, which is a more Christian and less open ended theme with the muses.

I seen Dogma when it first debut on showtime or HBO. I swear, i seen some of these cut scenes back then. Watched this movie hundreds of times since then. Knew i had seen more from it back then. Actually it has been a thing for a decade at least. There is a website that people submit recuts of movies according to their own tastes or to incorporate it deleted scenes. It's a private site for the fact that it's illegal to post them on social media. The only reason this video is allowed is because the movie was in public domain because of the Weinstein issues which gave license to do anything with it. And Kevin Smith condoned the uploading of it as a fan made recut. I have seen many other recuts by fans who have either shortened or lengthened films for different reasons and it's interesting to see other takes by fans rather than the directors.
