I remember when I was really young, maybe 4 years old, my dad got me this game and a PS2. He and I played this game constantly throughout my entire childhood. In 2016, when I was 12, he passed away suddenly from brain cancer. It took me years to be able to play this game, because those memories made it hard to be without him. But I didn't have the PS2 in the time, just my older cousin had one, and when she comes to my house to play some multiplayer games, like GTA SA's secret icon, Tony Hawk, Crash of the Titans, everytime we had a blast. With Disney Cars was the same thing, but we loved a LOT the songs of this game. I lost her in 2020 due cancer, and now this become our childhood's main theme: funny, lovely and memorable.

Moving out tomorrow out of my parents house and I've been replaying video game music. My siblings always tell me they're glad they grew up watching me play so many games. They listen to their music all the time and these past few days this music is really hitting me hard. Video games are awesome!

Tl;dr: Forgot how much I loved this game until I opened up game for the first time in years and this song triggered flashbacks to wonderful memories of my childhood and I want to thank you for uploading this so I could relive it any time. This game was one of the few GameCube games (games in general) that I had as a kid. I played the heck out of it because i didn’t have many other games and I loved the movie and just wanted to play as Lightning McQueen. As I grew older, I grew out of Cars and pretty much stopped playing with my GameCube all together. Many years (maybe a decade) later, I decided to dust off my GameCube and play some of the games again, and the moment this theme started playing, all the memories came flooding back to me and I was smiling from ear to ear just from the menu. This game’s soundtrack had a huge significance on my childhood, more than I ever realized. The soundtrack influenced my taste in music, the songs I still hum to this day (especially Free Ride). I loved this game’s soundtrack as a kid, and I love it now as an adult, and now I can relive my childhood by listening to the songs here. Thank you for sharing this music so I can relive my childhood :)
