Mine was a mix, I'm pretty sure and I never got a chance to figure out what he was. He was hit by a car and passed away 2 days ago, sadly. He had 9 amazing years. When I found the Cairn Terrier breed online, the traits that made him special and amazing lined up exactly with a Cairn. Whatever he was mixed with, the Cairn Terrier genes must have been too strong. RIP Buster.

It would be nice if I could do the101 facts about terrier mixes..... I have a Cairn terrier/Chihuahua mix..... and he really IS the BEST LITTLE DOG I've ever had..... and great for disability dog..... when I'm sick.....as in I have a bad lung disease..... And when I'm coughing up stuff..... and having a hard time breathing.....he will put his paw l on my lap until I'm breathing normal again.....he won't leave my side..... very easy to train and wants only to make you happy.....he gets traumatized when he isn't with me.....he HAS to have his stuffed toys..... and shake them like rag dolls..... and much much more...... like I said.....he really IS the BEST LITTLE DOG I've ever had..... and a great disability dog.....

Wow - I had a female named Bonnie as a teen and as an adult I had a male named Dougal; they both loved kids, but I would not recommend them unsupervised around squeezing, grabbing babies.

Lol I've never met 1 that didn't like children and we bred/trained many for years. Most of those we trained were bred by other as we didn't bred our dogs much so got to meet dozens over time. Maybe the 1s you're known weren't socialized with children correctly or were exposed to tons of brat kids who weren't taught right by their parents on how to behave around dogs
