I'm not much of a cat guy, but a few years back a kitten showed up at the house. I gave it a warm place to sleep, food and water by the side of the house. Within a week it was in the back yard with the pits, and inside through the dog door within 2 weeks. So we now have a cat that thinks it's a pit. She will even go on walks with us.

Great story! The cats I’ve always come into contact with (girlfriends pet) were possessed by Lucifer himself, and required a significant investment of time to reach a point where I could hold the demon spawn for short periods without shedding blood. Then I came into contact with two Himalayan twins, and they shared the personality and temperament of the most loving golden retriever. They were giant mush balls of love and affection. Love to see a vid of your extended family on a walk.

@@cb5117sorry you seem to have across bad cats. I have always had wonderful cats. Only cat I ever cane across that had a bit of a bad personality was my brother & sister in laws. She was a cat who only liked her people. I would go feed when they went on holiday. She would rub up against me but if I went to pet she would hiss and look scary. I think she rubbed as was her habit when being fed but then her fears or whatever it was would over come. Or she would remember, oh she is not my people don’t want her to touch me. Sad that only mean cat I came across and it was my brothers.

@@cb5117 We inherited my nans cat (long time ago) and that was a vile creature. It acted nice for just long enough so youd get close and it would rip you to pieces. One day id had enough and got really aggressive with it. From that moment on she wouldnt leave me alone - waiting for me to get home from work every night and wrapping round my neck like a scarf as soon as i got in. We went from hating each other to being best friends. Even 30 years on still think of her and hope she knew i loved her as much as she appeared to love me. So there is always hope, even with the most evil of cats.

Mom told me that back when I was a young kid & we had a cat and dog, whenever Mom heard cats fighting & our cat was out, she'd let our dog out and the dog would chase off the other cat the escort our cat home, smelling him all over as if to check that our cat was OK!

I used to have a pitbull/border collie cross named Lola. Such a sweetie. Bright home a kitten named Buffet and he totally bonded with her. They used to play a game i called "how much of my head can i stuff into your mouth?" I first saw them playing this one day as i watched buffet walk up to Lola and just headbutt her on the tip of her nose. She's opened her mouth and her just jammed his whole head inside. She closed her mouth, stood up and just walked away with this cat dangling from her jaws. Funniest thing i had ever seen. A few days later my gf was over and Lola walks into the room with the can limply hanging from her mouth and my gf freaked out thinking she had tried to eat him. She screamed at the dog to drop the cat, which Lola did, and the cat just landed on the floor with a soaking wet head and a confused look on his face wondering why the game had ended so soon. My GF was NOT happy that i had neglected to tell her about this first.

Yrs ago I had a small dog the size and sweet personality of a beagle. She and the cat would go galloping through the house the dog chasing the cat through the house, then the screaming would begin. The cat would be screaming and upside down clawing at the dog's head but without nails out and the cat's head in dogs mouth - they were rough housing and having fun not hurting each out.

I grew up with cats and dogs and we fished a LOT in Texas....so our cat ate like a GOD! Fresh fish scraps......!!! we had a puppy and a kitten togeher and THAT is the best way to do it if you want both =) BFF's for life...except when there are fish scraps to be had

My favorite from another video was a kitten raised by a Golden Retriever Mom and pups. The kitten grew up thinking he was a dog and jump into the lake to fetch just like his brother dogs. He swam better than his brother dogs.

I had a dog named Willow she was a large girl one morning after a storm she took me to a almost dead new born kitten in the yard we took her in called her Mercy. I fed the formula with a dropper. Willie done the raising of Mercy she even potted outside. They slept together Willie protected her and threw the years as Willie grew old Mercy did the protecting as she saw it. And when Willow passed on we both grieved for her it was a very special friendship

Your Great Dane saved that kitten's life! We have lots of feral cats in our area, and mama cats will often abandon the runt of the litter during relocations, which they tend to do a couple of times while the kittens grow.

I cant remember where I saw it,(probably youtube) and it was about a guy that had some huskies up north and he watched as some polar bears approached them, thinking they were going to eat them, and one of the huskies started acting as if it was trying to play, and all of a sudden they all started playing and now come back each year to play with the huskies.
