Ricky Gervais said “Everyone thinks they’ve got the best dog in the world, and none of them are wrong.”

Let's hope Gervais understood proper usage and said "None of them IS wrong."
@justaperson50953 жыл бұрын
@@mja91352 you’re actually wrong lmao. The correct was of speaking would be “none of them ARE wrong”. “Is” wouldn’t make any sense.
@vchandrashekar36532 жыл бұрын
@@justaperson5095 "IS" is correct. Because " none" is a shortened form of "not one" i. e. “not one of them is wrong". And since "one" is singular, the singular form of the verb is used i. e. "is" rather than "are“.

haha one of the pack came home and the big fella was clearly thrilled about it. I love all dogs. but there's just something about a large and powerful breed being a complete teddy bear when it comes to their kids. nothing quite like it. awesome stuff and beautiful dog

Nüt Nüt Hello, sorry if i bother you but i really need to know something and only a owner of a DDB can tell me that. How long can DDB stay alone? Thanks for reading
@wtfdoihavetodohere7 жыл бұрын
I have had two mastiffs. They require lots of attention and leaving them alone for more than a few hours gives them stress. Having another dog in the house with them would help.
@nutnut88837 жыл бұрын
+Vurzha I agree with the other comment. These dogs are very attached to their family and require company. However, mine was quite habituated and could stay a day without any problems. But we have a garden so there were always noises and the neighborhood was always near! Each dog is different and the best to do is observe and see if your dog is comfortable with your absence or not! I wish you and your dog lots of hugs and happiness, I miss mine every day ❤️

Once I went to visit these friends in Belgium. After I located their house, the garden entrance had no door bell. So I entered the garden and was walking towards the house when this monster appeared around a corner of the house and came towards me walking calmly and keeping eye contact. I thought my days were over. I stood still not knowing what to do. When he was close he raised himself on his hind legs and put his paws on my shoulders knocking me to the ground. He was being as friendly as can be. After, I found out that Gallo, a dogue de bordeaux, was two years old and weighted about 70 k.

Notice how gentle he was taking care not to jump on the little girl even though you can tell he's super excited and wants to😍😍 super sweet, well trained dog! The collar is a necessity with dogs that can overpower you with thier body weight alone. It's probably only on there for a last resort if verbal commands don't work. They don't dig in unless you apply a fair amount of pressure and can be the only way to train a dog of this size how to heel properly. People need to chill, the dog is clearly very happy and well cared for and loved, not being abused or mistreated.

Anyone criticizing the prong collar has never owned a 180 lb + dog. No matter how obedient or well trained they are, they're still powerful animals that could drag a human down the street. The collar is just an extra measure of control.

It also is cruel

That's the reason I cross the rd every time I see these sorts of dogs even with a leash. My legs bring me too much happiness to risk a random attack.
@corneliusvanhattem39332 жыл бұрын
If you cannot control a dog without cruelty you should not have a dog! I had and trained Rottweilers for 20 years and Malinois for 18 years. You could hardly choose more high drive breeds. NEVER had to resort to prong or electric collars! Even the FCI bans them!

That looks like such a nice life, a decent house, spouse making the living and you get to raise your children and spend the day preparing nice things and doing for them with your faithful dog. Some people get a beautiful life, sometimes I wish I did too.
@michelej18005 жыл бұрын
Collar does hurt them...autopsies preformed on dogs where pronged collar was used show deep bruising and damage. Dogues are extremely stoic and rarely show discomfort or pain. If you need a pronged collar to control your Dogue, perhaps the breed is not for you.
@emoiloi27324 жыл бұрын
Those people don't know how to use it then. Do research on a tool if you use it. They shine a bad light on those collars

What a great video! No one (son, daughter, husband, wife, etc.) will ever greet you the way a dog greets you when you get home from work. And the collar? It's no big deal since the dog's neck is the strongest muscle on its body. It doesn't bother him/her.
@nextlifearotti9 жыл бұрын
melahi7 if the collar doesn't bother the dog, why have it on?
@melahi79 жыл бұрын
huh? why have a collar on the dog? are you serious?

melahi7 I mean that particular collar.... Prong collars.
@melahi78 жыл бұрын
prong collar doesn't hurt the dog.
@blackamericanlesbianprofes43578 жыл бұрын
+melahi7 Actually it does bother a dog. A dog's neck obviously is sensitive and can be damaged just like our necks. I have learned through my own research (I want to adopt a dog) that one of the best collar and leash is a body harness. It wraps around the neck AND shoulders of the dog, somewhat reminiscent of a puppy being picked up by its mother; this gives better handle for the walker and feels better to the dog as if it pulls.

My grandpa's German Sheppard "Major" would walk my brother to 1st grade alone...then my grandma would let him out at 2pm each day and the dog would go to the school and wait for Corey to come out,grab ahold of his collar and walk home together...school was 4 blocks away and yes this dog was highly trained as a protectot... One day my mom got a call at work from the school saying a teacher had reported that Corey walked to school "alone" Moms inquired with gramma and went to the school and set the teacher straight,in front of the principal 😂😂😂
