Mam, i didn't understand the concept of amber box 10% and 5% subsidy. How is it calculated. Please give me an example.

The de minimis level is 5 per cent of agricultural GDP for developed countries whereas for the developing countries including India, the de minimis ceiling is 10 per cent. For eg if your agri gdp is 100 $ then as a developed nation you cannot give "amber box" subsidies more than 5$ . In reality developed nations bypass this using green box subsidies (which currently have no limits). That's why India-China both oppose this.
