Yes! I agree with how you said you can tell when the second book is going to be better than the first when there’s a lot of world building in the first. I think if the first book in a series just feels like a set up for the second then more often than not that second book is phenomenal!! ✨

if you love tea scenes in books, you should read Under The Whispering Door by TJ Klune! It is set in a literal tea shop and types of tea, drinking tea and everything tea related is used very metaphorically and beautifully. I think you’d love it ☕️

I loved divine rivals, but I also struggled with book 2. It was a bit a pity because somehow it lost kind of the charm somehow somewhere if this makes sense. Moreover, I've heard many good things about one ark window, and I'm really getting curious. But my TBR is quite high and I shouldn't buy more books 😅.
