In this video, I share a day in my normal life in Somalia. I visit Balcad District, which is 36 kilometers from Mogadishu and is a very rural district. I explored the city, met some amazing people and I was able to do Daily Routines at the home of one of the people I met there.

I live in 🇧🇼 Botswana. We still live like that. I don't use firewood but most people in villages and towns use firewood for boiling water and cooking food, especially traditional food.

This was Malaysia in the 1970's in the rural areas but now in 2023 they use natural gas stoves and piped in water systems to wash their dishes, do wudu and cook insya'Allah it will be like that one day there too in the future..aamiiin aamiin yra...

Balcad is my hometown. After having resided in the Western world for more than three decades, I simply cannot fathom the notion of inhabiting such a lifestyle. While Allah has predetermined the fate of all individuals, I find it highly improbable that I would be able to settle in Somalia in the foreseeable future. Although I am aware that specific regions within Somalia boast commendable advancements, the prospect of leading a life of opulence while witnessing my neighbors suffer from starvation is inconceivable to me. My deeply ingrained faith prohibits me from embracing such circumstances. May Allah bestow upon Somalia an abundance of peace, prosperity, and a populace that mutually leverages its resources
