I agree completely. However since people have free speech and access to the internet there's always going to be assholes saying mean things online and in real life. We have to be prepared to face that and overcome it. It's okay and totally normal to be hurt by them, even to cry about them sometimes, but if you let them do more than that, if you let them discourage you from doing the things you love, it's usually a sign there's some work to be done within yourself. I'm very fragile myself and I get hurt easily, but it's something I'm working on, because after all, I have no control over the actions of others. Practising mindfulness helps to calm the anxiety as well as recognising when something hits a nerve and why helps me to identify my own insecurities and weak spots so I can at least attempt to tackle them. It's on me to persevere and overcome what others can and probably will throw at me. Instead of dwelling on how much it hurts and the fear of putting myself out there only to be rejected again, I either learn something about myself from it or I recognise that it's just silly, way off base and doesn't apply to me at all, so I distract myself until I forget about it.

Hey M, i discovered you 6 days ago, and my relationship ended 5 days ago. It wasn't a bad breakup, just that he thought he couldn't love me as much as i loved him and that made him feel like he was cheating on me. He told me i deserved so much more than him and it wasn't fair to either of us and this had to end. If i'm honest, i "sort of" agreed and i knew this was coming on for some time, just not so soon. But when i opened KZbin, it was almost as if was God's plan that your vids were all over my recommendations. I binge watched almost all of them, and hey, i laughed, okay? I feel so much better, so much more like myself, and even though i'm not over him AT ALL (hey, i gotta give myself more time and not stress so much, right?), I feel like everything happens for a reason. And when you read out the last part of the quote that said "helped to exist", that hit me somewhere right inside, because that's what you helped me to do. I never ever comment on any video, and here i am, spilling my deepest darkest secrets on the internet, because hey, even though you are on a screen, you are my friend, right? I know you'd probably never read this comment, probably won't even know that i exist, but i wanted to thank you for being such a sugar fluff in this world and helping me exist anyway. Dont worry girl, we all have those days when the thought of the earth reclaiming you sounds good, or having that eternal nap. It'll get better soon, I super promise. People say get out more and stuff and drink water!!11!! but honestly, its learning to love yourself through the ups and downs. You're allowed to feel sad sometimes, and also allowed to feel happy and love that happiness. I remember I cycled to my university, and Im no fitness Kween so Im a bit soft in some areas. I was pushing my bike along a pathway trying to figure out where on campus I should be going to and some girl who was quite obviously into fitness and gym seshes walks up to me and says "Thats not how you ride a bike", stood there for a few seconds and after she got the reaction she wanted out of me, she walked off. Im unfit and trying my best, but I couldn't help but concentrate on that comment for DAYS. But what Im trying to say is, just because you have people who are ready to push you down, wether or not its on purpose or not, its okay to realise what they say and push it aside after realising how toxic and nasty they are. To make it short, live your life. Wear a face mask, drink some tea, take a deep breath and learn to love yourself and learn to identify where you start to crumble. Its okay to feel sad and you dont need to feel guilty for being happy either. And just because you got people who can make you upset doesnt mean you gotta listen. You can always improve yourself and do it at your own pace. Rock it.
