Those showers are safety measures required in or immediately adjacent to lab rooms. Purpose being: decontamination for chemical spills that got onto a person. Instructions are usually on a wall next to the shower, likely right above the pipe leading to the emergency eye wash station next to the man's hips in the video clip.
