Question for both Nothando and Presh, as a student who is trying to meet the demands of tuition fees in 3rd year BAcc/BCTA, do you think it is possible to successfully pass and maintain a 9- 5 job, with the exception of assessment/examination days and Recess/Study week?

It’s not ideal, but if you don’t have a choice then I don’t think it’s impossible - just probably very challenging I would expect you would need to make a lot of sacrifices such as social time and weekends, but with good time management and very good discipline I think it could work

Is there any age restrictions when doing or applying for your articles?

@@preshm Thanks. Another thing,I wanted to know whether audit firms allow you to do your articles if you are an entrepreneur or investor?...or do they usually take people who don't own any businesses/companies

You can own businesses, you just need to disclose so that you don’t have any independency issues (eg. You are auditing a big supplier of your business) You are allowed to invest, you are just required to disclose which shares you have in what companies so that you aren’t put onto those companies to audit

Thanks alot for the information...my dream is to do articles and to work for a bank...im a 1st year bcom accounting science at unisa,im turning 30 years this year..❤❤❤❤
