as someone who has grown up around alternative people and have friends in the metal scene, it’s SO REFRESHING to see someone so mainstream embrace the alt. It’s also so funny to watch the locals shake in their boots at something that in retrospect is tame compared to other artists in the alt genre

@musicreversed1113 I think that her new music isn't that much different than the previous. She said it was going to be pure rap, but the previous songs were still pop rap and the lyrics are fine but not all that, this demons song is weak even on that I agree. She's very talented and still makes good music but none of this is groundbreaking so far like she promised.

The artist in me is living vicariously through Doja Cat because this era is making me more than just a casual fan. It's time for the public to wake up and realize that she really has something truly special, and that's true artistry. She's making music for herself, she's being authentic to herself and it's still selling like crazy (if not more) because her ear and her music taste are off the charts. My favorite thing about her is that you can tell that she doesn't just love music, she loves storytelling. She's always going to tell a story and be intentional in that story with EVERYTHING, from the music, the videos, the wardrobe, her making all of her album artwork red across streaming platforms for "Paint The Town Red", THIS is what a creative genius looks like. She's already creating a lane for herself and if she keeps this up she's going to be untouchable. We don't get to see this in music anymore. Protect that woman at all costs.
