Kumrat Valley, known as کُمراٹ in Urdu, is a picturesque valley nestled in the Upper Dir District of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. To reach this captivating destination, one must embark on a scenic 45-minute drive from the town of Thal, which is situated along the banks of the Panjkora River. Kumrat Valley has earned its reputation as one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
During the summer season, Kumrat Valley becomes a magnet for tourists hailing from various parts of Pakistan and abroad, allured by its lush green landscapes and refreshing climate. The period around Eid al-Fitr witnesses a significant influx of visitors, with approximately 2,000 vehicles entering the region daily. Access to Kumrat Valley is exclusively possible via four-wheel vehicles due to the rugged, unpaved road leading to this pristine paradise.
Kumrat boasts an enchanting natural environment, characterized by verdant meadows and snow-capped mountains. The Panjkora River meanders through the valley, adding to its scenic beauty, while misty hills and dense forests further enhance its allure.
