Maybe it's the beatmaker in me, but I wish I could just spend a day with the stems of these soulful groovy tunes listening to each individual track. To hear all those little human things like the soft stick hit on a rim and creak of a pedal, or the fingers dragging across strings, the knock of the hammers in a piano, the faint cracks and sibilance of the voice. Man I'd give anything to listen to each track and here each musician's character through their instrument, each human element that makes up such a deeply beautiful song.
