There's a site called J-list that sells a lot of hard to find Japanese candy/snacks that I used to get my snacks from. Just be careful they have a lot of naughty things for sale too lol Also Cooking chopsticks are just that, you use them to cook. They're longer so you don't burn yourself while cooking.

I didn't know Gogo Tea (the drink brand) made mango lassi tea! It looks good! Anyway for those who wanna know the names of the snacks (in order of appearance): 1. Hiradekita! (Apple candy, soft) 2. I probably wouldn't do a japan crate though because I'm vegetarian and it can be hard to tell sometimes with japanese candy if they're made with gelatin or seaweed as a gelling agent.

That craving with junk food is real. Your body will start needing that sugar and so you can go thru feelings like that. I'm so glad you're weaning yourself off of it. 4:49 I think if you like Ramune and Cola version of that candy you will LOVE Puchao Candies, which come in Cola and Ramune. They are very fizzy and have min fizz "pellets" around the candy that keeps fizzing going. Hard to explain but awesome to eat. Soda flavor is on point and texture is the best among all the soda flavor candies I've tried. I see those in the 99 Ranch Market (Chinese Grocery) in California. Probably, they are in a Mitsuwa or Marukai but I don't know for sure. They are popular and maybe you should visit your local asian grocery in Texas to see if they have it.

Bunny, you should look into some of those "what your cravings mean" images that exist online. Like if you crave chocolate it might mean you need magnesium, or craving oily foods can even mean you need calcium. If not calcium, maybe some healthy fats like fish or nuts or avocado. For example, I used to crave chocolate all the time, but then I started drinking almond milk in the morning and now I hardly ever even think of it. I still like it of course, but I don't search it out instinctively anymore. Sometimes when I crave salty foods I'll have carrot sticks dipped in mustard, or a cup of hot broth (it's actually really nice when it's cold outside). But of course as long as you're paying attention to your macros, there's still room for some occasional fast food. I love a good Big Mac every once in a while, it's loaded with protein. You just have to watch your fat intake the rest of the day.

I know the feeling. Finding out I was diabetic in April made me completely change my diet. Low sugar (or sugar free) and low carb is hard, but I managed. Thankfully, caffeine and soda wasn't hard since a rarely drank soda or sugary stuff. Sugar wasn't too hard since there are decent sugar free alternatives (I found Russel Stovers chocolates made with stevia!!!) carbs were a bit harder. My major hurdle was pastries. I love cakes, cookie, donuts and the like, but the best rule I have given myself is everything in moderation, and, again, low carb/low sugar. Since April, I have lost 50 pounds and my A1c (unit used to measure sugar percentage in your blood) went from 11.8 to 6.2 as of July! 7 and above is diabetic, so, for the first time in a long time, I am actually proud of myself! I do believe so long as I continue my diet and moderate exercise, I am hopefully going to keep losing weight and keep my sugar down! I know you got this girl! If I can do it, anyone can, we all believe in you Bunny!

Something I have done with my favorite Japanese candy is keep the packaging and take them to my local Japanese market and find them. Sometimes I get help finding them. That way if I find something I love, I don't have to wait for Japan Crate to repeat it.
