I like how Monika was designed, she is showed as a "Perfect" character and she shows that she isn't all that perfect and she still feels bad for what she has done even after going crazy, she still realized her mistakes, she also has very good details. You know hearing this song just shows that Monika never wanted to hurt the player's feelings by getting rid of the other girls and as she says her self there was no other option to get "you" or her own route so he had to basically remake the whole game just to get to you. Monika the "Villian" doesn't act like one, she truly loves the player and she really does love you by even remaking the game just to make You happy and with out her, which is an amazing character development and one of my favorite characters who know the boundary of their world (and just in general a favorite) and as they say "As kids we cheer for the Heroes, but as we grow older we learn to understand the Villains"

I actually cried because Monika is so misunderstood and hated for no reason. She actually has feelings. And not for MC. For the player. And this is also why she's my favorite from the game. And I fully understand her loneliness and heartbreak. She even felt bad after deleting the others. She admitted it in the game. Moral of the story: Not all villains do what they do to be evil. Maybe they feel bad or have a tragic or simply monotone life. And whatever the character does, you have to look at their point of view and their perspective on life and actions before you start judging the character. Like the saying says, "Don't judge a book by it's cover".

i realized something. "take my hand. take my whole life too" the literature club was basically monika's whole life. she was really passionate about it, and her friends. and in the end, she technically commited suicide by deleting herself, and everything else, just so that mc could (supposedly) be happy since you couldnt find happinies in the literature club anymore. and when she asks "would it be a sin? if i cant help falling in love with you" she doesnt necisarrily mean being attracted. if anything, it symbolizes what she has/will done/do to pursue the love. "live a river flows surely to the sea" surely, not definetly. it seems that she is slightly unsure, but does not want to let that show, since she wants to stay strong for mc and her friends.

When I first played DDLC I knew that Monika would kill everyone, because of friends talking about it. Then at the end of the game I really did feel bad for Monika and try to find a mod for the game that would make it where I could get a true happy ending. I like all the girls in there own way. Sayori always wants to see you happy. Natsuki is someone unique when you finally get to rub off on her. Yuri is so mysterious and not smart but wise. And the Monika is aware of her surroundings. And as much as I know how sad each of these characters lives are I know only two other video game characters that have a more depressed story. This first one is obvious but Sans so I won't go to much in detail but I will say that he is also aware like Monika and especially when we do genocide route that's tough. Now this next one is a little weird but I have to say it is Steve from Minecraft. Now before MatPat's life therios of Minecraft I wouldn't have put so much thought on it but now I know why he could have the most depressing story. 1. He is the only human left in his world. Everyone else is either dead or they are Villagers, which in MatPat's video said that they are there own species as they turn into Zombie Villagers when they die by zombie. 2. There is no way for him to repopulate his word with his own species. If you have any other comment about this then please let me know as while I think Monika has a very depressing story Sans and Steve almost looks like there is no hope for them at all.
