I really love the minor touches put into this song. The fact everyone sounds like their roles, the glitches, everything makes it seem so good. But what I really love is that the song somewhat follows DDLC's plot. (Warning: Lots of text and probably incorrect analysis, as well as me repeating the words 'just like in the game') It starts off all happy and Doki-Doki, seeming like an only happy DDLC song, focusing on the whole 'dating' part of it, just like DDLC first seems like a normal everyday dating sim. Sayori appears gets most of the song's lines, followed by Natsuki and Yuri (which makes sense, as you interact with Sayori more in Act One, and Yuri doesn't really speak that much at first glance.) Monika has no lines in the first part of the song, like she has no massive significance. Just like in Act One, tricking players into not focusing on her. At 1:14 there's a small dip of pitch in the break, like a small glitch, but we just think it's part of the song. In a way, it is. It's not a major thing. But to me it feels like a small hint about what's to come in the song, just like in the game, when Sayori starts acting off. And then a faint line from Monika, 'we're never gonna be apart,' Then 1:35, Sayori starts singing, but is killed and cut off by Monika, who takes over. JUST LIKE IN THE GAME WHEN YOU RESTART. And then Yuri glitches in, starting to appear... off. Also mirroring the game. The song continues 'normally,' just with Monika having more of a significance. That is, until Yuri starts singing again, but starts sounding more and more unhinged, less 'elegant' in a way. (That 'Do you love me' still gets me every time!) Like Yuri in the game when she eventually kills herself. Then Monika takes over for the rest of the song until 2:42, confessing her love to you using the same lyrics used through the whole song, but now the lyric seems much deeper. Also, 'Why can't I just be the one for once' feels like it's talking about how she never had a route in the game. The glitched less-bouncy instrumental break is pretty much the game's true nature. Then Sayori reappears, like after you delete Monika and restart, once again repeating 'we'll be together forever.' At this point, those words no longer seem metaphorical. Monika appears one last time, and finishes the song, closing it. Just like Monika in the game, deciding enough is enough. Phew! That took a while.

She's not just an insane killer for once. She actually has a character, which isn't something you would expect from a secret horror VN villain. She wants us to think she's in total control, but she's a prisoner just like the others, if not more so because of her awareness. Literally the entire universe is determined to stop her from getting what she wants. She wasn't programmed to love you like the others, in the "original" story (the in-universe game DDLC) she didn't even get an ending with the player. She mentions in Act 3 that she doesn't even have any scenes of her at home or even in casual clothing like the others. Imagine how you would feel if you figured out you were a side character in your own life.
