The eighties metal experience was indescribably magical. It’s a shame that so many generations can’t relate to it. No other Genre quite captured the melodic power and musical bliss the way that it did. Dokken was a huge part of this.

I couldn't agree more, in the 80's when it came out, This ballad had me struck, I was so jealous of Lynch and Dokken writing such a melodic tune, I was in a metal band in Phoenix and I tried like hell to get the guys to do this song, nope!, and even today I will post this in our music chat room and some fucking dummy will say that song is shit, there's something deep in its structure that attracts what I fell are "True Musicians."

One of the most beatiful ballads ever recorded. So emotional and full. And the guitar solo is just KILLER. So expressive. George Lynch at his best. This song is from 1989, and to me, it symbolizes the end of an awesome decade and also, the goodbye for Dokken, since they would reform only in 1995. What amazing times, the 80's. George's solo here shows why he's one of the ultimate guitar heroes, and the greatest post-Eddie Van Halen and Malmsteen. Incredible guitar playing, grab, note choice, expression, individuality, technique, harmonics and that KILLER guitar tone, just KILLER.

Don Dokken one of the best lyrics writer from his generation, not well recognized the way he deserved. This song proves his talent. Lines like "Your love I borrowed just like time" "Just walk away, there will be no more tomorrows" "From far away I tried to say "I´m sorry", but I can´t find a way..." "I didn´t mean to breay your heart, I wish it had been mine" "Was it love we had, or love gone bad? Still the love we need" This is pure poetry.

How so? They sold millions of records, toured the world, chart topping singles, radio play and had multiplatinum records. You know who IS underrated? KINGS X. Kings x never had a gold record and they are a great band as well that never even had real mainstream success. Kings x busted their asses for 30+ yrs in small clubs opening up for bigger acts and never truley earning the respect of the mainstream

Dokken! One of the most talented band ever. This great song was made just before they broke up. I wish they had continued to be together, making at least one more album.

All of these comments about Dokken being underrated and not getting respect....blah blah they were one of the hottest bands in the 80's. They are only as good as their fans remember them and I am a true fan.

Great classic, I miss Dokken's original line-up from the 1980s, Don Dokken knows how to project great emotions with every word in the song, George Lynch's fiery lead guitar style is magnificent, Jeff Pilson on bass and "Wild" Mick Brown on drums create very powerful rhythm in every song.

These guys are tops for sure!!! What I'd give to go back to 1980 and relive the entire decade! I'd pretty much do many of the same things, but I would enjoy it much more!!! Anxiety has gotten bad and now I cannot enjoy much. Rock & Roll sings to my Soul!!!

It so happened I was at Magic Mountain, and the opening act was Don Dokken, do you remember Kodak cameras? Well I used all the film but it was worth it I got some perfect photos of the band up front. I still have those photos after all these years! I fell in love with D.D. Gorgeous face and his white teeth! lol!!❤😊❤

I remember going on a field trip to a museum when i was in high school...on the bus i jammed this album on my walkman. The girl i sat next to listened to it on the way back. Oddly enough i ended up marrying her 11years later and we are together to this day.
