I do like that this version suggests he and Chandra are actually well-suited, and genuinely love each other in the end. And even a slight suggestion perhaps that he and Darcy might strike up a friendship, too. It's definitely a change from the original, but then this is a more lighthearted take on the story, and I like that it would mean neither Lalita nor Chandra have to leave their old life behind so completely when moving to be with their husbands.

And there are very big differences between pakistani, bangladeshi, and indian cultures, victoria was right in saying what she did, if she liked this video. Its a traditional dance from the state of Gurath. They do this during a festival called Navarathari where they line up their house with oil lamps. So, its more traditional dance than Bollywood dance. And yet I believe it has religious significance as well. But I am ignorant in spite of being an Indian.

Its not a wedding dance. Its danced primarily by Gujarathis (folks from the state of Gujrath) during an entire week called Navarathari festival. Its also done in Tamilnadu....called there it called Kollam dance.
