Dolby, THX, DLP Intros in 8D AUDIO [HD 1080p]

So... I took a handful of trailer intros from THX, Dolby and my favorite DLP and turned the audio into 8D audio. It sounds like you're falling and in space. dolby atmos test.
What is 8D™ Spatial Audio? It's an effect that pans left-right and adds reverb. It's complicated.
Have fun and make SURE to use headphones or it won't work (believe me)

I was expecting this to be like binaural audio, not just panning the audio around to make it sound like you're spinning. Typically the way to do this would be to take your source audio tracks, layer them, and pan them + adjust volume based on where they are relative to the camera in the video So if there was a ball bouncing to the center left of the camera, for example, you would pan partially to the left and adjust the volume based on how far away it is. Now, obviously you did the best you could probably do without the orignal audio, short of getting one of those virtualization programs like Waves NX.

I came here to grab the thx sfx for my music, didn't expect to run into a fellow audio nerd ;) While I do appreciate the upload of audio from OP - I am glad that someone has pointed this out. I noticed this "8D" trend for a while now and it irks and inspires me at the same time. We should start a "9D", where we take the stems of songs or whatever and make it much more precise... Amount and rate of panning. LFO Spin vs. Phase, LFO waveform - I like to stick w Sine for warmer, rounder sounds. Triangular for sharper objects/sounds, square for thonky, boxy sounds. Heheh.. could talk about this stuff for hoursss, but gotta go to bed lol.

Only issue is that companies like Dolby have already designed these trailers with this "8D" in mind. Panning left to right and adding reverb sounds cool, but from a sound design standpoint actually un-does some of their work. For instance: at 0:27 a ball comes flying in from the right side of the frame. The original sound designers would naturally have had the "whooshing" sound come from behind you on the right forward in a surround environment. However, as you can hear (if you have headphones), the sound is coming from the left because you just panned the master audio track without regard for what is going on onscreen. The reverb also helps cover up the fact that it's a relatively simple panning automation that would sound very odd by itself. The closest you can get to "surround sound" on KZbin because of their horrible audio compression is using binaural monitoring - so mixing in something like 7.1 and having that loosely translated into the delays in stereo feedback. You can also use plugins like DearVR which are specifically designed for Binaural mixing and truly achieving an "8D" or as close as you can get sound.

Im still a big fan of the original THX sound and this is the best one at 2:11 I have found in 8D yet. Love the audio and visual effects. Thank you. ❤️ When you bring the volume up to 80 on your AVR then kick in the video at 2:11 it slowly builds from the front of the room making it's way to the back surrounding you, the hair stands up on your body then suddenly takes your breath away as every speaker is about to begin smoking, shaking the entire house and everything in it with this resonation that leaves you with huge erection and a tear in your eye. It's at that point you realize it was worth every penny spent to install Dolby Atmos/DTS X in your living room.. Lol 😂 ❤️ 😂

I think we have to make a set up for that firstly we should buy a definitive pro cinema 600 5.1 home theatre and then connect it to a receiver with Dolby atmos I think denon AVR 1600h is good and nice and we must also buy 2 or 4 ceiling speakers based on your room size this is a super wired set up but if you think this contains a lot of affort then simply buy Sonos Dolby atmos home theatre but the thing is you get only 2 types of sounds,I.e,Dolby atmos and dts X but if you keep this set of 7.2 or 7.4 which a receiver it will produce various types of sounds like Dolby atmos,Dolby digital,Dolby vision,dtsX,Dolby digital plus and so many other types of sound so I think the 7.2 or 7.4 is better to keep than a Sonos surround system this is my opinion you can choose any of these 2 types,I.e, Sonos arc system (or) 7.2 or 7.4 home theatre with a Dolby atmos denon x1600h model receiver.thank you........
